Right. You never know if they're sorry they just got caught. Shaine (or whatever her name is) only said she was sorry after pretending she didn't do it and throwing police off of her trail with lies about the murder she committed.
True that´s actually wild. Even though you guys in the US tend to give out harsh and sometimes even overly excessive sentences compared to most of the world, people in even my country of Denmark would basically always at minimum get a sentence of 12 years upon murder, as long as it was done on purpose.
True regardless of whether or not she was remorseful impeding and investigation and lying to the police for 2 years is still more then enough to get a harsher sentence even if it was just ruled “manslaughter” but hey that’s Canada for you we let potentially dangerous people walk free every day

What to say here... The other side of Social Media. People post themselves doing stupid things or even clues about their crimes. However, I can see in the first case, the murderer faking his victims posts was what ultimately got him caught, he tried to impersonate his victims, his friends caught him in his lies...
Regarding post 2: Absolute horror for everyone involved... The case just immediately reminded me of a similar one that sadly happened here in Germany a few years ago. To be precise, in my small hometown. Shortly before Christmas, a grandfather asked his little grandson to ride in the bucket of his tractor. They had a farm where, among other things, they sold Christmas trees seasonally. And then what had to happen happened. The grandfather didn't notice that the little one had fallen out in front and overtook him. The fact that the man hanged himself for a few months for “understandable” reasons was somehow to be expected because of the enormous feeling of guilt and the almost unimaginable traumatic moment. As paradoxical and harsh as it may sound. In my opinion, one of the worst things that could happen to you in life. (Even if it is clear who was/is responsible for it in the end)
@@mitch8072 Now now, everyone makes errors in judgement. They just wanted to create a cute teenaged girl moment which I guarantee will be the kinds of silly things your hypothetical daughter will want to do, no matter how Tom Boy she might be. And it won't make her necessarily stupid or bad to do so.
not only did Cheyenne murder her best friend, but the fact that she made up a story about two specifically black men being the culprits just goes even further to show how awful she is. black people, especially black men, are used as criminal scapegoats like this all the time, which gets innocent individuals hurt and possibly put in lethal danger by law enforcement. lying about things like that is vile.
She also tried to blame a random male bar patron. Men are used as scapegoats in crimes all the time, especially when a woman is involved, because women are more likely to be believed even in absence of strong evidence, so she tries to ruin multiple random mens' lives, and after very deliberately squeezing the life out of her best friend only got seven years because "she felt bad about it." Definitely a case for systemic sexism; a man would've been put away for life.
What's vile is that she scapegoated Men. That's what is actually vile. Oh but ya know... glad you came over here to remind us all of how "black" people have it so dang hard out there and shucks they are used as scapegoats like this "all the time", well GEEZ it MUST be 'cuz rasicm yafeelme SHYIT

Only in Spain, is the “z” pronounced with the “th” sound. Everywhere else it’s pronounced with the “s” sound. Being from Paraguay, Liza’s name would be pronounced Lisa Ortis Dias, not Litha Ortith Diath. That was jarring, but OK, since he most likely learned the original Spanish speak from Spain.

I don’t think whether the person is remorseful or not should be a factor in a murder case sentencing. I mean, no amount of remorse can bring the person you killed back to life. Their family and friends will still feel that loss for the rest of their lives. It’s one thing for less severe, non violent crimes, where you can sort of show your remorse by trying to make up for it with community service or some kind of program or whatever, but when it comes to murder there is absolutely nothing you can do to lessen the consequences and impact of the crime and I think the sentence should reflect that.
If you genuinely feel remorse about what you did, that indicates that you're less likely to do it again in the future versus someone who has no remorse, and will kill someone else without hesitation
What a great collection of stories, and its so well produced. This is as good as any television show with expensive budgets. Big ups 👍 to you and your production team.
I went to university in Saskatoon and part of the reason she lied about going to the colonial bar is because it's a notorious hotspot for native crime, particularly crime against women and even more so against native women. I assume she was hoping if she says they were at that bar together that the report would get burried in the dozens of similar reports and bring less scrutiny as it's more typical of that bar.

7 years for murder? and then people say "why isn't there justice in life"... And I wonder what the sentence would've been if it was a male murderer.
Woo-hoo! Two Lazy Masquerade vids in one week! No mean trick, and also a treat!
that's exactly what I said when it popped up first on my stream
What is insane about the first story is during his interrogation, the dude was bragging about how "good he was" at what he did.
Hearing Lazy pronounce Cheyanne as “shy een” is… something.
right!. its the first ive ever heard it pronounced like that, ive heard a lot!
That and Liza Ortiz Diaz with "th" sounds on the Zs. Pronunciation was all over the place on this one.
Yeah it’s weird. I assumed her name was spelled Cheyenne so the mispronunciation would be logical but her Facebook post spelled it Cheyanne so I don’t know where he got shay-een from.
@@Mouseplaysvidyayeah that was weird. They weren't from Spain, they wouldn't have pronounced their names like that.
@@AllofJudeahe probably learned spain spanish
Thanks for finding the creepiest voice possible for the text messages!! I'll certainly have no problems getting to sleep tonight.
All of these stories are heartbreaking to hear 🙁 The last one though…how does she get only 7 years 😮 the justice system at its finest.
I would like to petition the courts to keep that last bi*** in jail. How's the justice system gonna say she seemed remorseful when she spent 2 years post-murder lying about the murder??
A year is a VERY LONG time.
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 ok then lets keep that same energy when it happens to you.
Hi Lazy! My sister and I watch every one of your videos! We don’t live together but every time one of us sees that a new one has been released we message the other to make sure they know. Thank you for always bringing us such quality content and always giving the victims such a high level of respect. I could listen to you talk all day!
So much for equality! Equal time for an equal crime! 😡
11:36 Turns out the tapeworms incident was a fake stunt and now Nick has 6 million+ subscribers on TikTok.
October is always Lazy's most productive period, and I'm totally here for it 🎃
Just want to add a personal note here:
I’m currently going through a bit of a difficult patch, revisiting places (both literal and metaphorical) I haven’t been to in ages and it’s quite emotionally taxing. The entire time though I’ve been listening to your videos on repeat because somehow your voice helps with “grounding” me and puts me more at ease whatever I’m doing. It feels a bit like I’ve got someone here along with me. You plus my therapist are making quite a difference. So cheers mate! ^_^
(Sorry I know this comment has nothing to do with the actual video but it’s the most recent one. Now to actually watch the thing and add some nice fresh fuel to my nightmares…)
I really hope you are ok
I appreciate the concern, I’m ok and pretty much always have been, it’s just been a weird time of late. Like I said, Lazy makes most if not all things that bit better :)
That scary voice freaked me out!!! 😂
Also, Cheyenne is disgusting! She murdered her "best friend" & her racist self tried to blame it on the Black community. Absolutely sickening & I'm so sorry for Brittany befriending such an evil demon
Lmao me too. I was walking to work at 5am 😅😅
I saw my name and was like ☠️ yeah I am pretty disgusting
The story of the two sisters on the tractor really shows how, sometimes, danger is so close but we don't see it...
I remember hearing the third story several years ago. I can't believe she only got 7 years for that 😐
These videos are always so sad but fascinating.
What to say here... The other side of Social Media. People post themselves doing stupid things or even clues about their crimes. However, I can see in the first case, the murderer faking his victims posts was what ultimately got him caught, he tried to impersonate his victims, his friends caught him in his lies...
Yes! Content! Lazy is the most anticipated and watched channel I've ever consumed
💯
I'm gonna...I'm gonna...I'M CONSOOOMING!
This channel is false advertising. Should be called Busy Masquerade! Consistently high quality output and Lazy’s presentation is always first class.
Regarding post 2:
Absolute horror for everyone involved...
The adult man should know better than to use his equipment improperly. $100 says the dude got a boner from the girls and that clouded his judgement
another arwin award for the girls, congrats as for the grand pa and grand son super sad.
happens all the time sadly... there are at least 3 cases like this yearly
@@mitch8072why do you make it sound like it’s a good thing?
not only did Cheyenne murder her best friend, but the fact that she made up a story about two specifically black men being the culprits just goes even further to show how awful she is. black people, especially black men, are used as criminal scapegoats like this all the time, which gets innocent individuals hurt and possibly put in lethal danger by law enforcement. lying about things like that is vile.
Well…..13 do 50
What's vile is that she scapegoated Men. That's what is actually vile. Oh but ya know... glad you came over here to remind us all of how "black" people have it so dang hard out there and shucks they are used as scapegoats like this "all the time", well GEEZ it MUST be 'cuz rasicm yafeelme SHYIT
@@AJadedLizard "women are more likely to be believed in absence of strong evidence" lol. lmao.
@@avelynn5976 You saw what a shitshow the Supreme Court nominations were too, right? You understand there are still people *to this day* who believe Amber Heard, right?
It's genuinely kind of adorable how Lazy pronounces American Spanish names with a Castilian accent. I say this with affection, not as a dig, and I understand *why* it's the case. It's just cute.
i think the social media post with a disturbing backstory that terrifies me the most is the shelia eddy tweet "we really did go on three"
What a bizarre story that was.
Yes I wondered about this
This type of thing has caught me in other videos of his and other UA-camrs. I’ve wondered what a good balance would be between accuracy and time efficiency.
Let’th not be too pedantic about how we thpeak Thpanish mmkay?
it really be ya own can't trust anybody and the fact she only got 7 years is staggering
I'm sorry but how did they not realise how dangerous the tractor was in that sort of situation i mean what can you do when people get harmed by their own self inflicted reckless actions
Its like Lazy said people for go their own safety in the name of content
You would also hope the driver would be very aware it might happen and be ready to veer away and brake immediately?
7 years prison?! 😳🤯😠😡🤬
"Ortith Diath." The majority of Central and South America don't use Spain's θ version of z and s.
No one cares
@@shirinshirazi For real. I don't know why know-it-alls in UA-cam comments sections try to "educate" people about foreign languages spoken by inferior ethnic groups. Literally no one cares about the linguistic rules of dumb languages.
I almost didn't recognize what he was trying to pronounce

I hate how the system gives these murderers a new identity and just sends them back intk society to live amongst us all. Thats what's about to happen to the girl that killed her best friend come 2024. So sad.

Love your stuff Lazy, hope you're keeping well.
Much love from the UK.
The lyrics to "Hotel California" never sounded so chilling. The narrator made it sound like he was reciting a poem by Edgar Allan Poe.
The Amazon review killer case always gives me chills especially when that video surfaced of the authorities breaking into the container and finding Kayla brown chained up like an animal
I was at a haunted hayride once and got this gut feeling not to go on with my friend. Five minutes later the driver fell off the tractor and was run over infront of 2 dozen small children. My friend was taking a selfie at the time and got him caught mid fall on film. She deleted it so she could move on ftom the trauma but god dang
Back in the 1990s a friend of ours was scutting on a bulldozer digger while we were bunking off school, his clothing got caught it the track's, like tank track's and the digger crushed his head ,no deliberately. Don't bunk school or if you do , do something else aside from these dangerous activities R.I.P...PJ.🙏
The second video is so sad. And while I’ve heard of the other two cases. I like to see your takes on them.
Amazing timing! I was just about to run a bath and needed something to listen to. Thanks Lazy!
@DontReadMyProfilePicture.57Nah boy, im too lazy to read your banner
Raycons lose quality after a couple of months
It’s a good day when Lazy uploads.
For real
Been missing your content Lazy, glad to see you are still alive & kicking.
That was the most AWESOME ending you've made yet, Lazy! I hope everyone stuck around to hear it! 😈
I have never heard Cheyenne pronounced like that. Lol it caught me off guard.
Love the videos, absolutely hate Raycon. I have a pair, spent $150. Worst mistake in a long time. People can't hear me talk, and visa versa, I have to use a free sound booster from the store to listen to music/videos, they constantly struggle to pair both with each other and to my phone, plus when trying to use the ADS (or whatever it's called) the buds squawk like a microphone was left too close to an old school karaoke machine speaker.
Lazy is amazing, but save your money for better buds. Or don't, I'm not your mom.
I love them. I have 2 pairs. And customer service is amazing
@@Mama_Bear524 You seem to be an exception.
pretty sure thats now how you pronounce the names with the letter "Z" in the second story...isnt that only for spaniards? in south america most people that have the letter Z in their names are pronounced normally with out the list effect

Her crime causes her shame only because her guilt is seen by others and that her punishment is why she’s sorry but lacks regret for the victim because she herself plays that part.

As a woman post 3 is exactly why I stopped using the term "friend" with other women. I just cant deal with that secret animosity I've came across in my life other women will carry. Just be spiteful for no damn reason..Be your friend then take your life smh. Maybe I'm feeling some type of way but since my childhood friend, my only real friend was killed in 2020 I just cant see myself trusting another person and to give them that title. I honestly dont see how people do this to someone that trusted you. I cant imagine how she felt in her last moments knowing her "friend" was taking her life. I feel for her family because what a light sentence. With that being said justice for Cristina Virola. My forever friend 💜💜💜💜
7 years for a brutal murder is NOT justice.
