Zoom down the runway and off on another tough cargo mission with the biggest and most demanding LEGO Technic plane yet. This is so much more than just a model, as it has a range of real-world functions to help it do its job. Move the joystick and watch the flaps, elevators and ailerons move, then activate the LEGO Power Functions motors to open the front and rear cargo bay, retract the landing gear and spin the propellers. It’s just like the real thing! Rebuilds into a Transport Hovercraft.
Good memories, I used to wish to have this lego technique set when I was around six years old and I always talked to my mother about it but she kept saying that I would get it later but the wish never came true. It makes me feel sadder since I just remembered it seven years later and realized I have never got it. I’m completely fine since I’ve now got better things to do. It also reminds me of other things I wanted but I never got, time needs to slow down.

I just finished the model and it certainly is one of Lego's best. Terrific functions and they all worked mechanically or electrically (except the opening cockpit electrically. So I made it manual). I also customized the plane with two jet engines on the wingtips, extended ailerons, flaps and spoilers, revamped tail, rudder and elevators and extra covering on the fuselage. Highly recommended for lovers of Lego Technic

What a great video! Goes normal speed for some parts, then speeds up (without showing hands) and click click click on parts. Great stuff!!! It must have take a long time to make such a video! Could watch this all day!

Of course it would, it would not have an option to be motorized otherwise, LEGO wouldn't make you have to buy a power function and motor.

I'm impressed with your video. it's really cool! I thought you simply disassembled it piece by piece, and reversed the video! (would probably make an easier "build" video" that way lol.
dpanch_89 Technic is very hard to capture. I did 50/50 on disassembling and assembling.
I have the set in front of me, looking forward to the time to build it. I may do a timelapse myself, but it's been a while since I've made any lego! Keep up the great videos!

Did you actually build it like this or did you film the dissasembly and run it in reverse? I just build it yesterday and I noticed that (as always with Lego technic) with the manual you build parts of the structure and then put it together.
Anyway, great video and filming technique. IMHO the best building video out there.
dermobo I did both. An example is the tail piece had to be filmed "being assembled" and the cockpit had to be filmed "being disassembled". Happy that you liked it.

Haha! what if your power funcyion runs out of battery- thhen you would have to replace everything!
They are powered by batteries...also meaning that you only need to place the batteries, like anything else.
Have you encountered a problem with the side plates of the cockpit not fitting correctly?

Do you find it easier to build on the grey plate rather than just on a table - obv makes it better to keep in one position for time lapse recording but wondered if it simplifies the build?
