I love the animation and the VO. My problem with this is that it doesn’t actually address the central theme and canonical purpose behind SCP-3000 beyond a brief exchange of dialogue near the beginning. SCP-3000 is the Foundation’s source of memory erasing drugs because this entity is (or at is popularly embraced as) the antithesis of consciousness. Literally just the deep water - even without anything in it - just thousands of feet of water below, stretching as far as the eye can see, across thousands of miles, is terrifying to me. I get knowing what could be lurking down there is part of that, but even if I knew for a fact nothing was in it, I still find its sheer size and depth horrifying. I remember flying over the Pacific, about half way between both coasts under a full moon, at a point when there weren't really any clouds. Just seeing this huge expanse of water with no land, knowing it was like 20 thousand feet deep, was pretty terrifying. There was a guy who managed to somehow survive over 70 days adrift in a tiny life raft in the middle of the Atlantic, and the idea of living and sleeping for over two months like that is just nightmarish.

Amazing animation and impressive voice acting and script writing! The conversations didn't feel or sound scripted and the scale of the SCP/depth and emptiness of the ocean environment was truly unsettling. Amazing work to everyone involved!!
I love this animation. One fun fact is that most saturation divers (dive out of a bell and live there for days) have auxiliary air tanks attached to their umbilical air system in case it snaps. This is why new diving suits have rebreather setups that allow divers to breathe up to around 12 hours without an umbilical air system. I suggest the yt channel Dive Talk if anyone wants to know more abt this stuff
Another weird fact is the fact that they have to breathe a helium oxygen mix. So they all have squeaky high pitch voices for days to weeks while living in the bell.

Ok, so, i read the file about SCP-3000 before this, and there´s nothing in there that indicates the level of epicity (and fear) that an animation this well done can bring to one´s eyes, but on a personal note i consider it could be off the scale...

@@ForlornFoundry they're a bit of a gimmick and more for show. They don't really hold up well in current, only really work with one way of kicking and don't have a lot of control in changing directions. For this reason, a lot of dive professionals kinda joke about split fins. They aren't terrible, they can still do their job in calm environments and shore diving, but I wouldn't recommend them over any other diving fin. (Tec or cave divers prefer jet fins)
@@ForlornFoundry ahah don't let that retract from how incredible your animation is! I absolutely loved this representation of one of my favourite SCPs! Keep up the amazing work!

I cannot explain to you how fast I clicked on this video when I saw SCP in the title. That scaffolding underwater gave me horrible submechaniphobia. comment for the algorithm is the least I can do after you've supplied us with this masterpiece
Gotta love when you hit the megalophobia, thalassophobia, and submechanophobia all at the same time
ただデカくて寝坊助なだけのウツボにこんなに恐怖を抱くなんて、SCP財団の世界は奥が深いな
“hey bud how’s it going?”
*Grouper cam activate*
Thanks!
for making excellent content
Ok, so, i read the file about SCP-3000 before this, and there´s nothing in there that indicates the level of epicity (and fear) that an animation this well done can bring to one´s eyes, but on a personal note i consider it could be off the scale...
i mean yeah its visually
This is one of the most incredible SCP films I've seen to date, and I've seen most if not all there are. Outstanding. Creepy as hell.
Loved it, worth the wait and I’m so excited to see what else you bring out now that you’re more comfortable in the animation!
Anything I can do to help in future, please let me know!
Damn you. Damn you all or just blame the algorithm. I watched this last night on a whim completely ignorant of SCP. Three hours later I forced myself to sleep only to wake and start looking into more SCPs. Aggggg what have you done! Great animation, perfect level of suspense without jump scares (which I anticipated)!!
You guys do the scp franchise proud 🥲 with this animation. Even the scarlet king would be impressed.
Really well done! I loved it! The design of 3000 was very cool!
Really cool animation work. Hope to see more like this in the future!
Great job on this SCP! I think that you did an amazing job on all aspects of this project!! 👏👍👍👍👍
Since I was young I've had a fear of Green moray eels.... Great/horrifying decision to use one as a reference for your SCP 3000 appearance. I'm going to so stand outside and get some air now.
Came here because IGP said he forgot to credit the artist I wouldn't have known this was a thing because I don't read credits so Im glad I saw his apology or I would never of been able to see this and its amazing.
Finally you alive after 2 years.
Chills up and down my spine, probably never gonna sleep again, definitely never swimming in the Indian ocean or any ocean for that matter. Now if you'll excuse me I need a change of underpants
Another great collab! You guys really grasped the horror of its lovecraftien size.
This Is why i hate really hate the ocean!! You don't know what's down there.
Wow that was amazing! Love some good SCP animation, though if I was a giant sea monster and saw divers with split fins I would want to put them out their misery too.
I'm curious, are split fins a pain to dive in?
@@ForlornFoundry they're a bit of a gimmick and more for show. They don't really hold up well in current, only really work with one way of kicking and don't have a lot of control in changing directions.
For this reason, a lot of dive professionals kinda joke about split fins.
They aren't terrible, they can still do their job in calm environments and shore diving, but I wouldn't recommend them over any other diving fin. (Tec or cave divers prefer jet fins)
@@biyu6870 huh that's really interesting. I always love finding out specific details like these
@@ForlornFoundry ahah don't let that retract from how incredible your animation is! I absolutely loved this representation of one of my favourite SCPs! Keep up the amazing work!
On that depth with gears like that I believe they'd be crushed by the water pressure. They would have more of an atmospheric diving suits. Amazing but I believe SCP-3000 would be bigger enough to swallow a sub whole. This was a baby version.
Sam: "We're not supposed to be here"
Also Sam: *stays*
lol
It seems you came back in the algorithm. Congratulations, Forlorn Foundry.
And this is exactly why i have thalassophobia 😰
The sound is so cool, gotta love good sound in videos and games and such, absolutely love it
Amazing work! I'd love to see more SCP animations from you
This is very nice!! It scared me tons! Nice work!
That was actually freaky and dope!
I cannot explain to you how fast I clicked on this video when I saw SCP in the title. That scaffolding underwater gave me horrible submechaniphobia. I think what makes this SCP inherently horrific is that it’s in its natural habitat which happens to be one humans cannot survive easily in. They were in 3000’s arena going down there. Chills.
Nicely done. From an armchair biologists perspective the scary-looking Moray Eel must have been the design inspiration, which are shy but fairly personable despite their appearance.
fuck yes, been waiting FOREVER for someone to give 3K some well deserved attention
great job brother
This is a very good and cool project! Waiting for a whole year was worth it. Thanks for letting me translate it to Filipino :)
Your capping THERE IS NO WAY THIS IS ANIMATED
Your animations skills is top notch like oh my god I thought this was like real life
Ah yes, thalassophobia at its best, the animation is fire, amazing work!
Thank you for helping worsen my thalassophobia
But no cap this is cool as hell it's nice to be recommend a channel that isn't filled with generic stuff
WOW this is awesome. defently do more underwater creepy shit. Its EPIC
Not gonna lie this is why I hate the ocean because I believe stuff like that exist there
1:25 for favorite Grouper.
I thought it was called a gooper.
Random feed recommendation brought me here and I'm instantly subscribed. Love seeing good honest work being put into something creative and unique. Thanks for the pants shitting terror!
Bro I wish I had the money or influence to bring people to this channel, it's mad underrated
Of all the artists I want to support your on top of the list, soon as I get payed I'll be buying one of your higher tiers
