I recall hearing stories, though veracity is always questionable this day and age, about how the Sequel Movies had trouble with directors giving too much leeway and things not getting done on time because of it. What's the contradiction with the Inhibitor chip nonsense? In case I'm not picking up what you're putting down.
@@dartagnanjames8069 In TCW show the excuse for how the clones could have betrayed the Jedi was that they all had inhibitor chips placed in their heads during development which put them in a trance that made them kill the Jedi during Order 66. I've never been a fan of this change because I think it's a huge cop-out. In the Republic Commando novels there is a more "realistic" justification which involved growing distrust, the GAR's loyalty to the Republic and other more complex factors.
In my opinion the Legends lore adds more depth to the event and also makes Sidious' plan more masterful and manipulative than the current version which can be boiled down to "press the red button to make the clones evil. "
In regards to the events of Bounty Hunter and the Republic Commando Novels, between all of the references and call backs in TCW, Rebels and Mando, they have all but re-canonized it in writing.
Kool.
It worked.
Great stuff.
Thank you.
When we saw that scene my mom said “What’s he gonna do (to the stormtroopers)?” and when he pulled the gaffi stick out she said “A weedwacker?” 😂😂😂
Reyna Camacho • 40 years ago: mothers are endless sources of humor!
Us Maoris used something similar in shape to the gaffi stick it's called a Taiaha made from our native hard wood with a point on one end we use to waste the British when they came to Aotearoa New Zealand to do what they do colonize that Is but they never did only time colonized us kiaora 👍👋🇳🇿
That's really cool. I like both Boba's but Temuera really brings something special to the character in the Mandalorian.
Jake the muss, going after some stormtroopers.
uNcLe FuCkIn bUlLyyY
Too much weights, not enough speed work, useless...
They should make a scene where Boba makes a storm trooper cook him some eggs.
"You ave to spoil everything, donchoo........FAK youuu"
In the 3rd series of the Mando, he introduces crate day to the Star Wars universe.
It’s so cool that they got the actor for Commander Cody to have a cameo in the Mandalorian. Really shows how much Filoni and Favreau love the fans
i always wondered how tuskan weapon works
and they werent kidding
When he started wailing on those stormtroopers with the gaffi stick and made those faces I knew this had to be the actor informing the character. Then he confirmed that to be the case in the Gallery episode and it made me way too happy. HAKA!
Love it.
The gaffi stick is the perfect Star Wars interpretation of the taiahai,(spelling not entirely accurate so I went with the sound) a traditional Maori weapon made of a hardwood found in New Zealand and tipped with a small blade of New Zealand jade, one of the hardest stones on the planet. Elegant and deadly.
This is amazing, I didnt know that. The Mandalorian truly seems to be the best Star Wars we've gotten in a long time.
That's true. The Disney Trilogy really sucked and should be decanonized.
I enjoyed every episode, Dave and Jon and all the other people involved did a very good job
This is the kind of initiative which turns good things great
Seems fitting due to the fact that the Gaffi stick is based on a South Pacific weapon. It all comes around
Boba Fett 2020 might have been one of the few upsides this year.
Bad ass character, and a trip down memory lane makes this even cooler.
Thank you Disney and Mr. Morrison for bringing such a legendary character back to life in such an awesome way.
Mandalorians: the Maoris of star wars.
Māori is the plural of Māori.
I always thought of Mandos as the Spartans of Star Wars, but I can see Māori.
I see Jango and Boba as their own thing, I'd say they have the Maori culture, not so much other Mandalorians.
@@DaleTuck31 Since Jango was a foundling of the True Mandalorians of which he and Boba were the last of (and by extention the Clones), maybe we can say they were Maori version of Mandalorians and Death Watch the Spartans.
@@bremCZ ok, noted
Magnificent.....
When you're a simple man making your way around the world from New Zealand to the U.S. with your own custom Gafi Stick.
Temuera Morrison is a freaking legend. I'm so glad that he was not only cast as Jango in the first place, but that he is so passionate about his job that he gladly stayed for the clone troopers and now Boba.
Jake The Muss kicking ass in a galaxy far far away!!!
Gonna glass moff gideon like he glassed uncle bully
If mando wasnt there he would have made bo and her sidekick cook him some fuckin eggs.
@@basedbattledroid3507 Then pick up the gat and do a rendition afterwards.
Those Storm Troopers did too much weights and not enough speed work.
You are truly a blessing from God.
Gaffi stick > lightsabers
Beskar enhanced lightsaber.
Beskar enhanced light-gaffi stick
Light Gaffi stick enhanced with beskar
I know I said the same than the last guy but I think it sounds weird that way lol
Beskar enhanced mandalorian darksaber spear. (Why do I have a feeling that some star wars writers are going to rip off our ideas?) 🤔
*SAND PEOPLE NOISES*
Now I see why this show is a masterpiece.
Apart from losing his hair, Temuera has aged really well. He’s more fit than most 60 year olds!
I didn't even know he's that age, that's impressive
Hes more fit than most 30 year olds.
HE’S 60!!!???!!
That little chuckle at the end.👌
I figured that he was tapping into the spirit of his ancestors.
The chuckle at the end. Jon is such a chill dude
Mandalorian Set : Let's put some effort in that small creative part
Sequel Set : If this not in the script, then don't!
Which ironically is exactly how George Lucas directs, if guys like Hayden Christiansen and Ewan McGregor are to be believed - they've said that when Lucas called "action", they had to stick rigidly to the script with no deviation or improvisation, which doesn't sound enjoyable at all.
@@philiphunn194 If you look at some of the other stuff behind-the-scenes? Some of the most-remembered lines (especially out of Han Solo) were improvised. The more I hear/learn about the "first six" movies, the more I think Lucas was a great visionary but really needed someone else to bring it to life.
Then again... I recall hearing stories, though veracity is always questionable this day and age, about how the Sequel Movies had trouble with directors giving too much leeway and things not getting done on time because of it. IF that is the case, it becomes a reasonable response to crack down and go "guys, we have a script, stick to it".
... the Sequel Movies, finding new ways to make the same mistakes...
@@kereminde You are actually right. You need to look up the test cut that had a lot more Lucas involvement for ANH. It feels like the Prequels. His wife supposedly did a lot of the cutting on ANH.
Agree on Lucas being a visionary and needing others to write and direct the Prequels.
I heard it was his wife that saved ANH. Shame his bitterness from the divorce (and editing was the only Oscar ANH won) is preventing the OT from seeing the light of day. She'd get a cut from those royalties, hence all the Special Editions.
I'm glad Morrison finally the chance to play Boba on screen after decades of just being a voice for him.
“They’re back? The Empire, they’re back.”
Probably one of the coolest things ever to come out of boba
The fact that he is back in Star Wars means hex a play any of the surviving clones as well like Rex
Now that will be cool
Oohh..I like that idea dude!!👍
I love that he was able to put some of his culture into this performance and that Jon was so pumped to try and incorporate it.
This story has the same positive energy as Leonard Nimoy’s “Vulcan salute” in Star Trek.
When I watched this episode for the first time, I knew they must’ve been using his heritage behind the fight moves. I loved it. Very cool
At some point Id like to see Mando trade the Beskar spear to Boba.
Hell have Temura work on a haka in mando language to use with the spear.
LOVE this!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Hmm, a creator brings Temuera Morrison's Maori heritage into his character, specifically incorporating the Haka or elements of it. I feel like this has happened before, hasn't this happened before?
Anybody want to show off Dha Werda?
He's just so happy to be there. I am here for it.
