The Wyndham Alltra Playa Del Carmen is an oceanfront, adult only, all-inclusive resort that delivers a lively and upbeat Sunny South Vacation experience. I really enjoyed the massive oceanfront pool during the morning and early afternoon while taking in the views from the rooftop pool in the late afternoon before dinner. Brasas was my favourite dining venue with Zarape coming a close second. Both offer traditional Mexican dishes while Brasas adds a modern twist to those traditional meals. KAA is an extremely fun lobby bar and the bartenders are always mixing amazing cocktails to enjoy.
The really cool part about the Wyndham Alltra Playa Del Carmen is that it is right in the heart of Playa Del Carmen. You have all the benefits of an all-inclusive resort while being steps away from the vibrant local culture you can find on 5th Avenue. I went out a couple times to explore 5th Avenue and enjoyed the shops but mostly the lounges and restaurants. The authentic Mexican food was out of this world.
