A month walking and camping the Jeju Olle Trail in South Korea. In part one of four we start our journey on Route 18 in Jeju City, following the blue Olle arrows clockwise around Jeju Island.
We complete Route 19, Route 20 and Route 21, before flipping back to the start of our Olle Passport to Route 1. We spend two nights camping on Udo Island, completing Route 1-1 at a leisurely pace. We finish up Route 1 on a high after climbing Seongsan Ilchulbong and a beautiful wild camp at Gwangchigi Beach.

I’m from Korea who lives in Switzerland now and I really love this country but definitely I miss the time i spent in jeju island before i left korea :) Especially, olleh trails were quite unique because i could see mountains and sea together which i can’t do in here lol! Thank you again
That’s what we love about Jeju too, you’re always close to both the mountains and the sea. The Olle trails are so great for exploring all the different scenery on the island. We’ve never been to Switzerland, but I bet the mountains are pretty special there,and much bigger ; ) ! Thanks for watching

I just came back from a 6 day trip to Jeju. Inspired to do the whole trail. So beautiful. You probably wouldn't know since you're camping but I'll ask anyway: what's the situation with cheap minbak style accommodation along the trail?
Bianca Goatess Cool! You’ll love it I’m sure. There are plenty of minbaks along the way, some hostel style accommodation too which offer cheap dorms. We’ve listed a bunch of places for each of the trails that can be booked in advance through booking dot com in the accompanying guides over on the blog, might be useful for pinpointing options quickly! Great video… I’m planing to go in April… can you tell me what is the rules regarding taking a drone to South Korea
Thanks Mike! Well, this video was shot on a trip in 2019, and we’d previously lived in South Korea from 2015 - 2018, so a little while ago. There was no issue then and we can’t imagine there’s any problem taking a drone into the country now, but we would advise you to check online for any current specific rules. What we can say is that drones are very common in SK and tend to be treated as an object of interest and excitement rather than as something negative… South Koreans love their technology 😃

@@mikeissa9853 Routes 6, 7, 9 and 10 are some of our favourites and cover some of the highlights of Jeju. If you have time for 10-1 (Gapa-do) at the end, we liked it here too. If you are interested in haenyeo (Jeju's female free divers), we really enjoyed route 20, where you'll have a good chance of seeing haenyeo diving in the sea and can visit the haenyeo museum which is really interesting and informative. Hope this helps you choose!
