Love your videos! Sometimes people will confuse cavitation by being a spun prop. They catch a little bit of cavitation, hear the engine rev, and then catch back up and think they have a spun prop when really they just cavitated.
This was actually really useful info. With my previous prop i had the symptoms you mentioned. Boat would be going along just fine then hit a small wave, and the motor would rev like crazy and the boat would slow almost to a stop. Letting off the throttle would return things to normal. I always thought it was really bad cavitation, but maybe not. I have a new prop now anyway and dont have that problem anymore.

Glad to be of help!
A prop shop can change the bushing. It is common. They usually have to change the bushing when repairing a damaged prop
Good to know!
Like a torque converter or drag tires...
I think I saw two mismatched chisel marks on a large prop.🤔 Thanks for teaching a newbie like me.👍
There is a chance those are just marks from trying to tighten or loosen the prop - but maybe not!
OF COURSE YOUR PROP IS SPUN......you brought a banana on board.....
Don't bring that banana on your boat! That's bad luck!
OK, what’s with the banana? (And do I win a prize for being the first person to mention it in the comments?!)😂
I was going to eat it right before I turned the camera on and forgot - so it became my pointer!
