💌 I'm sharing my recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls in my newsletter so make sure you're signed up here welcometomycurls.myflodesk.com/newsletter
Renee it touches my heart how you have your dad over for dinner so often I just love that about you. You’re a wonderful daughter! I was the same way with my parents. ❤
Aging, widowed parents need the company of close family. My neighbor just lost his wife of 40+ years about a month ago. Both were 69 and expected many more years together. What a shock and she was too young to pass away.
I first discovered Christmas crack in the early 2000’s when one of my nursing coworkers gave me some as a gift. I begged her to share the recipe with me. Over the years I have evolved it into just making toffee and pouring it over a bed of pretzels, adding dark chocolate & semisweet chips then crushed pistachios & cashews on top. It’s so dangerous to have around! I miss your vlogs too. I get so excited when I see a new one. You’re just an all around genuine person and a great storyteller! It’s easy to see why people are drawn to you. Plus you and Randy are such a cute & loving couple. Merry Christmas!
I made Christmas crack last year and we loved it. My son Easton asked "When are you gonna make Renee Hayden's Christmas crack?" He is 6 and he likes to watch your videos!
Take an extra hour or two on yourself , be kind to yourself! Sleep, health maintenance & just enjoying a cup of favorite tea! Enjoy your baking & family! 🫶🙏🏻
Oh my gosh reminds me of the movie about the pets and what they do when their family is out of the house !!! Love the view inside your refrigerator lol I absolutely have to make the Christmas crack and I’m sure I’ll eat the whole thing ❤️Glad you are feeling better
Hi, Renee! Yep, I made the Crack last Christmas and it was a hit!! I'm making it again tonight, because our oldest son turns 25 tomorrow and I want to have some ready to go! I'm also going to try it with ghram crackers since I have an extra sleeve on hand. I love the saltines because the salt comes through so well!! Congratulations on hitting 100,000+ subbies! I found your channel when I decided I wanted to stop dying my hair. It's been 14 months and I'm so happy, thank you!!
Forever more….this Christmas Crack….AMAZING is an understatement…my word….in LOVE!!!! Thank you for sharing. Nuts and Bolts on their last 30min in oven. Can’t wait for that…tomorrow…I just started my fast. 😂😝
I love Christmas crack!! I am making it this yr as gifts for my church family. Just found you this morning. I have really enjoyed binging your vlogmas!
Oh, my goodness Renee -- this blue suits you so well and with the hair up, you look amazing girl!!! Spreadsheets are every person's best tool to keep you organized☺
Maxxie brought you a lil gift from his adventure outside.😁🍁 I have a golden retriever and he brings me a lil gift everyday. Either a pinecone or a rock from our landscaping 😁 and of course I let him know how much I ❤ it . 🐕 Pollux's lil face with the roll and his bed 🫣...awww ....I sure could never tell him no either. 🐶 I can't imagine the time it takes to get the videos ready for us all. But I sure am glad you do it.👍🙌🤛 Haven't made the crack. But I did make the bombs! I have loved giving these out!
I hope to make my first Christmas crack, your recipe, this week. Actually have never had this before lol. Enjoying your posts. Have a wonderful holiday season with your family. 😊🌲
I made the Christmas crack last year and everyone loved it. The pretzels are a good idea. This year I am making turtles with pecans. My son loves them. These videos get me baking.
Merry Christmas cute video! I ordered your cookbook, I've enjoyed your channel a long time and I'm a dog lover I need to make Christmas Crack! Something funny, I'm watching your vlog on my phone this very early morning and I didn't enlarge the screen. Where you placed your second shoe in front of the chair, it looked like it was on a leg. I was like, where did that extra leg come from??!!🤣🤣🤣
I'm glad you're feeling better, Renee. Have you ever tried the Rolo pretzel pecan "pralines"? They're really good and fairly easy to make -- the biggest hassle is unwrapping the individual Rolos!
Good morning from Pomona California, Renee, it's funny that you're making Christmas crack, cause one of my choir members made Christmas crack for us to snack on during our Christmas concert and we were both talking about your vlogmas, 😅😅
Merry Crackin' Christmas Holidays Renee snackin' on your Crack. Ha ha! Fun video with you & the boys today. Enjoy your dinner with your Dad and Randy. The beans are such a bright green and know they are so goooood!
Love your all of your videos, but really appreciate all your hard work on your Vlogmas videos this year! Been thinking that Pollux likes the beds that are completely flat. Might be more like what he was used to in the shelter. Happy Holidays! 🎄🎅
The butter pretzel ones, you do a bottom layer of chocolate, then add the butter pretzels, then add carmel over top of pretzel, then you sprinkle with sea salt.
There she is, our regional CRACK DEALER! LOL! Girl, it is by far the family favorite and my brother and son LOVE it as well. So excited to make it Thurs. Maybe triple the batch so I can gift it to others who are alone this Christmas. Thank you for this amazing recipe. I look forward yearly to making it and yes, I can only make it at Christmas as I am 5'2" and 135 lbs. and want to keep it that way. The only way I keep weight off is to eat small portions of whatever I want and it works for me. I don't make a meal out of everything and I have taught hubby that as well. Merry Christmas Renee!🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
I gave up on fluff filled doggie beds long ago. I just take a fluffly blanket, lay it on floor and fluff it into an oval shape and dog loves to curl up in it and doesn't chew it up. That Christmas Crack looks to scary for my addictive tendencies, but yummmmm!!
Yes! Made the Christmas Crack. As a matter of fact we are eating it right now and about to go into a sugar coma! Thank you so much for sharing your cerazt self with us. Merry Christmas!
Hey there Renee, apsaulutly loved the video today your always on the run! We ladies have so many errons to run before Christmas. You make it look fun. Have to try your Xmas Crack looks yummy 😋🎄 Great to see the boys too!
OMGOODNESS! I found you last year on this utube with giving directions making the Christmas crack. I always love giving and baking during this time of the year as we celebrate our Lord and savior’s birth.🥰 I just started watching you recently and subscribed to your channel. I can tell you’re a very warm inviting person. The problem is I’ve been making so much Christmas crack and eating way too much of it. I have to get off of sugar after the New Year’s. My birthday is coming up right after Christmas! Now I know why they call this stuff Crack immediate🫢🤪 I will be making 6 big batches and already made 3😀 Thank you for helping me put on these extra pounds😀😀😀
Thanks for vlogging, you confirmed that it's a LOT of work, as long as you enjoy it! Going to make Crack this morning for the first time, expectingto make several batches today. Appreciate your experiment with the pretzels, going to stick to the saltines. Watched lots of videos, but love how you do yours. You didn't mention how the Parchment paper came out compared to foil. I'm going with your foil and spray recommendation. Thanks again for all your hard work!!! 🥰🥰🥰😅
My dog chewed up his bed that I bought after your recommendation. It was the round calming bed. I couldn't stop him from chewing it and I gave up and bagged it. I'll try again in a few years. He loves the couch and we are OK with that.
I’m making it for my work party, Can’t wait to try it!! I love all your videos, you just keep doing what’s best for you! Thanks for all your hard work on them, very inspiring and love your energy ❤❤
We appreciate all the work you do on your videos. Can you imagine that you used to do this when you were working at one time? How did you do it all I'll never know. We appreciate you sharing your life and family with us.
I made your Christmas crack and it was the best!! I’ve made crack many times before but have never boiled the butter and brown sugar as long as you recommend. I’ll have to say it made a difference. Delicious!!
Yes! The parchment paper worked so great!!! The trick is move the parchment paper onto a cooling rack for a short time before popping in fridge to set.
Renee, the Christmas Crack is out of this world.Just working on a batch right now. Gifting to family members, as they were crazy about it last year. It's an easy snack or dessert! It's something I know they already enjoy! Merry Christmas.
Great video! Thanks for the grueling hours you spend at the computer. I guess you didn't get your walk in. I'm making 4 recipes of crack on Fri (15th)! I had to really restrain myself from making it during the last 11 months. Giving it as little "I appreciate you" gifts, some to my family and me! Also making at least 8 recipes of nuts & bolts this weekend. Just made 3 of it 2 weeks ago. It just disappears. Going to try the pretzel crisps too. Saw one vid where she used Ritz. I'll see you tomorrow!
Good morning Cindy! Sounds like you're spending the day in the kitchen....but those will make perfect gifts!! I'm actually making another batch of Christmas Crack today too! And Oooooooo Ritz???!!! 😁
Yes! Last year I discovered your channel by way of the Christmas crack video. I made it for the first time last Christmas and I plan on making it again very soon. I might experiment with 1/2 graham crackers as well as a few different toppings sprinkled on top. Have you ever imagined the possibilities?? 😁 New Year’s crack, Valentine’s Day crack, 4th of July crack, Easter crack ??? I’m sure we could find color-coordinated toppings for every occasion! A gal could get very creative with this delicious addiction!
I have been making your Christmas Crack & Nuts & Bolts recipes ever since you shared them. The Christmas Crack usually lasts longer than The Nuts & Bolts. I end up making The Nuts & Bolts recipe about 4 times throughout the Christmas season...because I eat it all before I can gift it. 👍😊😂🤣👏 I guess that is a good thing...😳🤷🏻♀️ Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊 I'm glad that you tried the pretzels...now, I don't have to. Just going to follow your tried & true recipe. 👍😊😍
I have made your Christmas crack for the past couple of years. My grandsons wanted to help make it this year. We made two batches for their home school Christmas sale. It was a big hit!!!😊🌲
Have you tried leaving a TV on for pollux? I think he may have separation anxiety. I think from his time in the shelter, he's afraid he will have to go back to not seeing anyone for hours on end. Maybe try leaving the TV on for him with your videos, so he can hear your voice. OMG thank you so much for doing more vlog style videos next year. I have missed you and the boys and Randy and the girls so much is unreal. I've felt like a puppy who got its toy taken away lol. And yes I have been making your Christmas Crack. I had the recipe for a few years now. But I don't even get my recipe out anymore. I just go on UA-cam and watch yours when I make it. As a matter of fact my mom , aunt, and daughter are coming to my house Monday. We are going to make a bunch of Christmas candy and your Christmas Crack is on the list. Maybe you can get some rest after vlogmas is over. But I am sooo looking forward to next year. And don't forget us on your vacation. Lol have a great trip, you deserve it.
Oh wow! You're girls day sounds like fun! If you get my weekly newsletter, I'm sharing another of my favorite holiday treats....CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BALLS! They also make a great holiday gift!
@WELCOMETOMYCURLS I do get your news letter. We are making chocolate peanut butter balls also. I just got to get time to read your letter to compare our recipes lol. And I'm making your nuts and bolts. I just actually went today and got the ingredients for nuts and bolts and Christmas Crack. I'm just like you that Crack is one that I can't leave alone lol Believe it or not I have never tried Sriracha. I tried a little taste when I got home from the store and I love it. I bet the nuts and bolts will be another hard one to leave alone lol
Renee, I've made your Christmas crack with saltines, graham crackers, and Ritz crackers and tried milk chocolate and dark chocolate. All variations are good but the original recipe ends up being everyone's favorite. I'll try a few rows of pretzels when I make it this year. I only make it at the holidays, too. It's just too good! Hugs to Pollux and Maxxie!
I was wondering about the pretzels. I made your recipe two years ago and again last year. The kids absolutely love it! I tried with cashews, pecans, peppermint, milk, semi-sweet and dark chocolate. I value your opinion and will skip pretzels. I like sweet and salty as well. Which chocolate do most folks comment is their fav? I have bought 3 of the previous dog beds you recommended and my grand puppies have destroyed all. I don’t know how we can get them to stop either. We have also sprayed with sour apple …did not work for us. Pulling our hair out…so expensive!!! Going to get bone you recommended….already in my cart. Thanks Renee for all your hard work and dedication to our UA-cam community/family. We all appreciate you and Randy so much. Love those fur boys to Reese’s Pieces! Cheers 🥂 too 100K, made it through all the highs and lows of 2023. Christmas and New Year’s will be tough without Mama…however she will be there…in your hearts. Check out song Different kind of Christmas this year. ((Hugs)) May we find love, peace, joy, gratitude and the spirit of giving. ♥️🎄🕊️
Thanks for the recipe, I’m going to make some this weekend…. I’m gonna call it candy crackle, chocolate crackle or candied cracker 🤔 but I’ll let you know how it turns out 🙏🏽
🙋♀️ I’m gluten free so I make your Christmas crack with Schar brand gluten free saltines, and either dark or milk chocolate. I leave the tops with just the chocolate. But this year I think I’m taking a break from it and making something called Cashew Buttercrunch instead, which is also to die for!!
Hi Renee Your Christmas Crack is delicious and addictive. I made it when you shared the recipe the first time. I think I would stick with the Saltines. The boys are little stinkers- Maxxie on the furniture and Pollux chewing another bed. Gotta love 'em. You have to laugh.
First, thanks so much for all the work you do on your videos! I always look forward to my "Renee video"! And I love seeing you every day during Vlogmas. So your hard work is appreciated. Second, Bliss is home and doing great! He had a much milder reaction to the vaccine this year and the vet says he may not even need to be monitored next year! He was pretty low-key last evening, probably not feeling too well, but he's pretty normal this morning. He just finished breakfast and pigged out (didn't eat dinner last night). Glad to have my boy home safe, healthy, and happy. A couple of questions about Pollux. Is the destruction "normal" when you're gone? Do the neighbors say he barks while you're gone? When does the destruction occur (You'll need to film him while you're gone to see when he chews things up)? He may (and I emphasize MAY) have a mild case of separation anxiety (although he could just be getting a bit bored when you're gone and looking for something fun to do and tearing beds apart is often great fun!). The good news is if this is separation anxiety, it's a mild case and there are things you can do to help. And if it's simply boredom, you can help with that too! For boredom, I recommend lick mats or stuffed Kongs. With two dogs, you'll have to play the lick mats and Kongs by ear to see if you can leave the dogs together or will need to separate them (some dogs can have a bit of resource guarding over those items). You can find lick mats and Kongs on Amazon and there are Kong stuffing recipes all over the internet. Some folks suggest freezing the Kong once it's stuffed, but that's more advanced and you probably shouldn't do it when you're first introducing the Kong. The Kong is a strange looking rubber tube-like thing with a hole in the middle. You can stuff all kinds of things in the middle hole--from kibble to peanut butter and everything in between. You can get things made especially to go into the Kong and that's usually what I do. My guys love the peanut butter "Kong Stuffing". And that's also what I squirt on their lick mats, too. Easy and convenient. And for ease, if you purchase a lick mat, make sure it's one you can stick in the dishwasher to clean. To clean a Kong, get a brush that fits inside the Kong's hole, get any globs of stuff out and then stick it in the dishwasher. Clean up is easy peazy. By the way, Kongs (if you get the correct size) are pretty indestructible and Pollux shouldn't be able to "eat" it or tear it apart.
Yay! Glad your boy is better. Guessing he'll probably outgrow that reaction. When I pull into the driveway and Maxxie starts barking....Pollux gets excited and grabs the closest toy or his bed. The destruction happens in that moment of excitement....and I really think it's set off by Maxxie's barking. Pollux isn't a barker.
So glad you are feeling better Renee! Definitely gotta make that Christmas crack soon! BTW, met my girlfriends for our annual Christmas dinner last night and gave each of them the gold bracelet you recommended from Amazon….they LOVED it! ❤️. Told them I got the idea from you. They all put them on immediately and it looked fantastic! Thanks so much for the gift idea! 😘❤️
So many more people prefer grocery and meal kit deliveries these days, so it could explain why food stores aren't packed like they used to be. Everybody pretty much shops online for just about all other non edibles. I eat saltines with soup and chili so as a sweet, well, not really for me, but a cookie base like shortbread would be very decadent. My doctor advised me to take acidophilus each day replace the good bacteria antibiotics kill in the process. It avoided a future trip to the gynecologist.
I was thinking about using matzos as the base with salted butter. I also thought about white chocolate with crushed peppermint or red and green sprinkles.
💌 I'm sharing my recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls in my newsletter so make sure you're signed up here welcometomycurls.myflodesk.com/newsletter
Pollux has anxiety when you leave. It probably goes back to all those days he was at the shelter. I am so glad you rescued him.
For all those who don't realize that what you do, whether it's vlogmas or otherwise...it is work/your job/career. Thanks friend 🎄 ❤
❤️

Awww thank you!!! And the crack...it really is so dangerous. But it's SO GOOD that I can't help myself!!
Blue looks good on you, Renee. You should wear it more often!
Thanks! Honestly, it's not a color I reach for but when I do wear it....I like it alot!
Bless you for taking such good care of your dad. I'm sure you mom is very proud of the daughter she raised ❤
I made Christmas crack last year and we loved it. My son Easton asked "When are you gonna make Renee Hayden's Christmas crack?" He is 6 and he likes to watch your videos!

Little things from the yard always get stuck in Maxxie's fur. And every day he rolls in the grass so of course there's that too! LOL
So glad that I am not the only one stalling about going to the grocery!
I made Christmas crack after watching your old video. It’s so good! I will be making this every year.
I made your Christmas crack. I love it!! Shared it with my workplace. Love to you, your family and your pupsters ❤
I was given this recipe about 25 years ago and never made it😢. Look what I missed!
I hope to make my first Christmas crack, your recipe, this week. Actually have never had this before lol. Enjoying your posts. Have a wonderful holiday season with your family. 😊🌲

Yes, I’ve made your crack! Can’t wait to try with the pretzel crisps. 😊
Made your Christmas Crack last Christmas, EVERYONE LOVED IT.

Looking forward to making our first Christmas Crack this week! ❤

Haven’t had Christmas crack in years I’m gonna make some ,😊
I made Christmas Crack yesterday & brought it to work today & everyone loved it!
Woooo great ideas!!!! 🤪
Loved the video Renee…thank you!
I just love your videos!
Thank you!
Hi Julie! Randy liked the Christmas Crack with pretzels but I thought it was just meh. Nothing special. I much prefer it with the salty crackers 😁
@@WelcomeToMyCurls I'll just stick to the original recipe...I'm glad that Randy liked the pretzel crackers. 👍😊
I'm just like you that Crack is one that I can't leave alone lol
Believe it or not I have never tried Sriracha.
I've never tried it with graham crackers but guess I need to!
I’m gonna call it candy crackle, chocolate crackle or candied cracker 🤔 but I’ll let you know how it turns out 🙏🏽
I had some recently and you are right. It is addicting. It’s delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Renee how did Randy like the pretzel crack??? I want you to try the crack using chocolate graham crackers! 😊 Love your Vlogmas!🎄
He likes the pretzels! Go figure LOL. Do you actually mean "chocolate covered graham crackers" or regular graham crackers?
@@WelcomeToMyCurls chocolate flavored graham crackers. 😍
Hi my dogs do the same thing 😊with their doggie beds. Hi, I’m gonna make your nuts and bolts this weekend. Can’t wait.
It's So Good!! Do You Ever Use the Alternative Brown Suger & Lillys Chocolate??
@@WelcomeToMyCurls Great! That's means no separation anxiety!
I have made it every year..thank you for your recipe.. ❤
My pleasure 😊
Oh you know I made your EXCELLENT CHRISTMAS CRACK! Out of this world delicious. Crazy good!
Awww yay! That makes me very happy!!!! 💗
Yes, I have made Christmas crack and it’s a bomb Diggity bomb
The bomb!! 💥
Price of being a 💫 you just have the ability to keep our attention ❤
LOL 💗
So many more people prefer grocery and meal kit deliveries these days, so it could explain why food stores aren't packed like they used to be. Everybody pretty much shops online for just about all other non edibles. I eat saltines with soup and chili so as a sweet, well, not really for me, but a cookie base like shortbread would be very decadent. My doctor advised me to take acidophilus each day replace the good bacteria antibiotics kill in the process. It avoided a future trip to the gynecologist.
Greek yoghurt or Kefir works really well after antibiotics also!
Hi Renee. I love your channel! I was wondering what size your Dutch oven is that you cook your Sunday pot roast in. Thanks!!
Hi! I'm not exactly sure and it doesn't say on the dutch oven. I'm guessing it 7-10 quarts?
@@WelcomeToMyCurls I will definitely get at least a 7 qt. Thank you!
How does the parchment paper compare to the foil & spray method? Thanks so much for sharing!! I'm sure enjoying Vlogmas 🤩
Parchment paper was much better than foil!! Absolutely do that method. Don't know why I never thought of that before!
Enjoying your vlogmas!
Yay! Thanks for letting me know 💗
I was thinking about using matzos as the base with salted butter. I also thought about white chocolate with crushed peppermint or red and green sprinkles.
I'll make the Crack this week😊
I made the Christmas Crack and it was a great hit. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
