Only the real ones are going to notice, but Dmitry made sure not to let the conversation turn into disrespecting the crews. Sales & business will always be the way to make more money in any industry, but that doesn't mean that disrespect of the people that get the work done should ever be allowed. Your are right, it wasn’t an easy task
I roofed for 3 years, got my license in1985..being a roofer had major advantages over being a contractor/salesman & everything that went with it..
My crew of 3 consistently does 25-30sq per day , 150 working days per year here in Canada.
I would love to see everyone getting into roofing sales/ door knocking/ storm chasing.
Because they cannot exist without quality crews such as myself. And I only need those “salesman” for maybe 30-40% of my work. The rest of my work comes from sales I do myself,

Roofing contractors some of few guys i know that take long breaks to go vacation south in winter. Some roofers too.

This guy is 1000% correct. I am a licensed roofing contractor. Repairs are even more money than doing a reroof. Having a reroof crew and repair guy or two is big $$$. Hard work. NO college needed..
Repair work is better profitably
And this is precisely y i only hire ppl that actually get on the roof.

@@sugardippedtitz I don't do the work. He said it was easy, just saying it's not. Been doing it over 25 years. Nothing easy about taking on all the risk, managing cash flow, etc., etc, etc. Guys that do the work clock out end of the day and generally don't have to think about anything else. I have done both and nothing "easy" about any of it

Best Trade is really questionable when theirs a roofing dude in every corner!! Yea very fast money but very inconsistent business.
Good attitude looks from your house dam no pride in your work sad to say those are the guys who get most of the jobs always I mean always treat that roof like it was your own roof
