Modi used the jibe “Khan Market gang” to mock his political adversaries and India’s English speaking elite. The same Khan Market in Delhi was also mentioned in the 200th episode of Netanagari. Senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai got agitated on hearing the word Khan Market gang. He said that the use of the word gang is not right, Rajdeep objected to it and said that Khan Market is also necessary for the country, Azadpur Mandi too.

And to answer the gentleman who is concerned about criticising PM Modi on everything, my question is then why Modi is inaugurating roads, railways, stadiums and every small thing. People then start associating these infrastructure with the person who inaugurated it. Having lived in Lodi Colony for more than 25 years, I can clearly state how this Khan Market Gang (of Lutyens Delhi) controlled the narrative which suited the Congress. And now when the likes of Lallantop Top have made an entry into this space controlled by the notorious gang, the gang should not be given chance to creep into this space. Rajdeep was certainly a part of this gang a few years ago and now that “rural Indians” have started to claim their identity and place in the working of this nation, they start to find faults with the present system. Look at the way he surreptitiously slips in comments like “little representations of Muslims and women in the parliament”! Is he trying to suggest that the present government is responsible for this? What was he doing when congress was in power?
