Great question. I had to email Sonoclast and I got the following answer. Keep in mind though, I have the Moog Studio live so there are some slight centimeter differences potentially with other rack mount instances. They stated the following: "you want four screws sized #6-32 x 1″. I think 1-1/4" might exceed the threads in the DFAM's case. The stock ones are 3/4", I believe, so 1/4" more is enough to reach through the MAFD's case." When you receive the MAFD, you'll see where all the holes allow for it to be connected on the external side of the Moog Studio Live rack.
@@embazle You're an absolute gentleman. I very much appreciate you sharing that information. I'm going for a dual DFAM setup and have been scratching my head wondering about how to implement the MAFD in stand setup. You even shared which stand you're utilizing. Thank you!
@@evilrainbow that would be fun, two DFAMs!😅 would you be getting two MAFDs for programming sequences between the two? While the MAFD does use midi channel 8 and 16, I’m not sure if you can split the dedicated signal paths simultaneously. Another solid question though for Sonoclast! Still the dual DFAM set up sounds like a nice adventure:-)
@@evilrainbow I had the DFAM thing… but I specifically wanted to program sequences. The sonoclast was more user friendly in that respect. The DFAM thing does however make a crazy amount of signal sends. For my use with my set up though I wasn’t getting what I wanted it for, it was sick playing with though!!!
Awesome, glad you're enjoying it, and thanks for sharing about the MAFD!
You guys are brilliant thank you so much for making this part of my home.
Great company, very accommodating and an awesome product. I would recommend them most highly
NICE!
Thank you! Cheers!
my good man, how have you attached the MAFD with the DFAM in the rack stand?

@@embazle I don't know! I was thinking about trying a DFAM Thing if I needed two midi modules just to try it out. I contacted Sonoclast!
