No, that is actually his class ring from the prydon academy. It fell off patrick troughton's second doctor's finger during power of the daleks and rolled under the console until it was rediscovered by sylvester mccoy's seventh doctor in the virgin new adventure novels.
congrats on 3 years of UA-cam Dom. Your videos are so helpful, really informative and have definitely inspired me to start cosplaying. One thing i'd love to see is cosplays for characters from Doctor Who spin-offs. Personally, I'd love to see a tutorial on Luke Smith's costume from the Series 4 SJA finale: Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith
Thank to you I started cosplaying in a different way, I started cosplaying the Doctor(s), and that's a big part of my life. I just want to thank you Dom. Happy 3rd anniversary.
Can't believe it's the finale! I remember seeing and enjoying your 9th doctor cosplay video about 15 months ago when I started my channel and made my, "how to cosplay the 9th doctor" video! As usual your cosplay tips are top-notch and super-helpful! You'll undoubtedly be scarred by my attempt at a Hartnell cosplay for my Twice Upon a Time clip remake. I literally used a pair of pants for his hat and a shirt for his hair! Haha. Still had fun and enjoyed how I got the look across with the most basic of cosplays. If anyone's feeling bad about their Hartnell cosplay they can always look at that and feel better! Haha. Anyway, happy 3rd anniversary! You've been an inspiration to me and a credit to the WhoTube community! Well done!
Thank you so so much, my friend, I'm honoured to have inspired you - and come now, your cosplay was fab! :D No need for any self-depreciation here. Honestly, I'm glad you're having fun with it, you're doing a brilliant job with your channel, keep up the fab work! :)
Thank you so very much for all this cosplay advice. With the help of these videos, I've put together three cosplays and am in the process of doing more. Looking forward to what the future holds!
Have you ever created your own unique Doctor outfit? That seems like a fun idea, to take aspects of previous incarnations and use that to inform how you would dress if you were the Doctor.
Maybe you could do the master cosplay all the different versions.... although the second Master would be quite hard but I’d be open to hearing your ideas
The First Doctor wore Two rings, like the movie Doctor he wore a Pinky Ring . But the ring he wore on his right hand, middle finger was very important, it was his equivalent of a Sonic Screwdriver, his multi tool, he just did not use it as much because back then it was better to show him thinking his way out of trouble and not depending on gadgets . For his hat, an Authentic Turkish Wool Karakul Cap can be expensive if you go for accuracy $120.00 not being unusual, a good alternative that would look accurate to the rest of the suit would be the hat he wore in The Gunfighters . The Doctor contrary to what so many people believe did NOT wear a Cowboy's Hat or a Stetson Hat in that story, he wore a period accurate Black Gamblers Hat that was very common in Edwardian times (it really should have been standard for his character more than the Pie Hat was), Cowboys wore Soft Hats on Cattle Drives and while Working, Gamblers Hat's were for better dressed gentlemen - which #1 was . It also comes at a better price for a quality hat, you can get one for $80.00, that is easily $40.00 less than the Turkish Pie Hat . Number One also had a Monacle hanging around his neck and a pair of Fingerless Gloves for his hands to keep them warm but giving him tactile sensation. In 'Adventure In Space And Time' he wore Green Gloves, but in reality he would probably wear Black Ones like Richard Hurndell wore in 'The Five Doctors', these would cost about $17.00 .
I'm very late to this video, but if you have the money Baron Boutique has a replica of the First Doctor's coat. While I don't have one myself, I have bought a twelfth doctor black velvet frock coat from them and it is very high quality, so I'd assume the First Doctor coat would be high quality too. It's fairly expensive though, not magnoli or abbyshot levels but definitely not cheap.
i have a baby blue cravat to use :D. i hope to cosplay as all doctors. i did the 8th many years ago, but i'd love to improve it someday. edit: for the doctor's Ring. i'd say go to Primark and have a look at their cheap plastic rings
If you write any Fugitive Doctor stories (as a script writer) can you fuse elements of William Hartnell's costume with Jo Martin's and set in Ancient Rome? Please. I would love more stories in Ancient Rome.
The First Doctors jacket was slim cut, the Second Doctor's jacket was baggy . Hartnell's Doctor was the Gentleman, for a gentleman fit is very important to the overall look . Troughton was the Hobbo Clown so the fit would have been looser . The Fit and Cut are the main difference, I believe Dom would agree on that point .
This has helped me a ton and I’d just like to thank you for all the tutorials and comedy in your videos
You're most welcome! :) Thanks for the support!
I cosplayed as this doctor for my aunties 60’s party and Thai felt really cool lol
Isn’t that ring his Gallifreyan marriage ring?

What about the other "How to Cosplay the Third Doctor" videos?!
Doctor Elbruz If I ever do them, they won't be for a while, I've decided to take a break from cosplay content to focus on other things. :)
Oh well. When I, you know, become an adult, I do plan on preparing costumes for ALL the Doctors. May take a while but will hopefully be worth it.
Nice the 1st is growing on me.
Have you ever created your own unique Doctor outfit? That seems like a fun idea, to take aspects of previous incarnations and use that to inform how you would dress if you were the Doctor.
I'm not sure but you should try and cosplay some fan series Doctors, like some Luke Newman costumes. That would be quite interesting.
Brilliant mate well done
It's a really smart outfits on 1st dr

The Whovian Chaser oh brilliant mate really looking forward to it

Dom, isn't One's coat a black tailcoat like Two's?
The First Doctors jacket was slim cut, the Second Doctor's jacket was baggy .
Hartnell's Doctor was the Gentleman, for a gentleman fit is very important to the overall look .
Troughton was the Hobbo Clown so the fit would have been looser .

Are you doing 11 s6 and 7a
Pognin Unlikely now unfortunately! That style is really just a more simplified version of Series 5 though to be honest.
No offense but you look like Maurice Moss’s whovian brother from IT Crowd
We're did you get the 12th doctor shirt form
Just a plain white shirt. Preferably with a highish collar
pingu has seen too many things
Aren’t you going to finish the Third Doctor videos? 🤨
Olaoluwapo Williams If I ever do, it won't be for a while, I'm taking a break from cosplay content. :)
