This is EXACTLY why Abbassid is my favorite. Everything we just saw (besides being an MLB catcher for mangonel shots to the face) is such awesome use of their strengths in military and economy.
Also hilarious setting up the mill to kill the boar.
Viper with his classic style: Eco advantage -> military advantage -> tech advantage. Once the trifecta is assembled the rest is trivial.
It's so systematic I love it
its basic AoE strategy
you use it when you know you fight a noob or someone who cant fight a war of attrition
I feel like the Abbasid should get there first age up technology from the house of wisdom for free with the age up. Like fresh food stuff for free when you age up with the Economic wing. Every other civ get a direct bonus if they build a landmark.
the bonus is extra income from not having to send vills to build it. But i guess the 2min is to long of a tradeoff. it's prob a good buff to bring it down to 1:45

aging up a bit faster and/or researching (first) age up bonus faster, would really help the Abbasids. Right now they are a bit too slow - in Feudal especially.

I like how this guy disappears for a few days, makes people anxious, then returns with a video. In that video says "good day," and straightaway goes on to continue with, "spawning in the south of the map..." and no update on his situation, until a few minutes later. That's a content machine for sure.

An idea to fix Abbassid: Make any buildings within the influence of the house of wisdom cost 25% less. It also works towards their identity as base builders

Hey! I love your videos. I think you're missing the whole picture with high trade house. It gives a food source with a high gather rate and bounty and 10 gold a deer. Reaching 500 bounty can really help your eco in the late game

I feel both are practicing builds xD they both seemed pretty not careful about micro/ unit composition this game
I haven't played AoE for at least 10 years but I really enjoy your contents
Sleep had a very strong early game, but he paid too much attention to his attacks and not enough to economy and upgrades later on. Was rooting for him in the first half, but once I saw how viper recovered from the early attacks I knew he would win.
Rus players do the same tactics every single match. They spam horse archers get there OP monks get relics then attack with horse archers and run from you.
Can't even escape the corona stuff :D watching videos anymore lol. Though was a good cast as always Aussie
so i sit here in the past, looking at something from the future while living in the now.

I don't know, I like High Tradehouse a lot. If positioned right (and with bounty), you can get decent gold. The deer production is pretty quick, probably at least 5 farms worth and you can harvest them more quickly I think due to the buffs you can get to gathering hunted meat. Depends on build and opponent though.

@Aussie_Drongo composite bows is bugged. As Abbasid if you get incendiary arrows upgrade it turns of composite bows upgrade aswell as camel archers lose there bonus vs spearman :c

Sleep went for high trade house because he was just way too far away from 500 bounty. Plus he's against abbasid (and 2 TC build), so he can afford to wait a bit on getting warrior monks

Local Aussie subscriber here from Sydney, I got covid just before Xmas but as you've said, was happy for me and the family to catch Omicron, milder symptoms and have immunity. Non vaccinated either, all of us over it within 5-7 days.
Omicron is not "it" yet. But it is a step in the right direction. It is weaker but more virulent. So much more that it can do 2,5M cases in the same time Delta did 100k. Way less people per 100k will be really sick, or in a hospital, but since it's 2,5M in the same time as the previous 100k, it can still overwhelm hospitals.
We need a few more mutations there.
