Great video. Pity the grass is growing around it making it look untidy. Not sure how often the grass is cut there but the cemetery is in a beautiful location , nice countryside surrounds. I have been fortunate to have made the pilgrimage to Brians gravesite from Australia a few times over the years and each time the site the lawn was well tended to, maybe the workers there have gotten a little lax of late. Been there many times, Brian's 2 year old sister Pamela is also there across the back behind Brian's grave & her headstone is a smaller version of Brian's, Brian must be happy up there knowing the band he formed is still going albeit just a guitar band now & not like it was in Brian's day with all the instuments he added to the songs
Brian Jones is the forgotten man of the Rolling stones. He formed and named the group and was crucial to their early sound until drugs loused up his life. The Stones went on to become mega stars in the 1970s and beyond that some critics may argue Jones wasn't needed anyway.
Great video!...a very tranquil place set against the backdrop of the Medieval Stone Church...Bill and Charlie were the only Stones to attend the funeral...I’ll likely never visit his gravesite but my Brother and his wife will be in the area next summer... RIP Brian!

The only person to treat Brian Jones dreadfully was Brian Jones. Obviously a great number of people on here have not done an in-depth study of his life. Too many sugar coated documentaries.
The era when drugs were supposedly still "cool", took many lives, not all famous. Sex, drugs and Rock and Roll was a LIFESTYLE. The whole band was guilty...the irony was they ragged on Jones as not being dependable...sort of like a guy who can't hold his liqour. Today survivors make a big deal of staying clean...it's actually surprising so many did live through it, though many are more ruin than rocker. Jones died VERY YOUNG. He missed EVERYTHING.
The sad fact is people ALWAYS love you more when you're dead. The living can be inconveniently needy, make demands, screw up and embarrass you. THE DEAD ARE ALWAYS PERFECT??? I think NOT...BUT, at least you know what to expect...

Such a perfect place to lay Brian to rest. At the entrance, the building looks like a small castle. The place is very quiet, the grass uncut, which gives it a more restful look, rather than a place where there are always people working, keeping the grass short and disturbing the area and I like that Brian's headstone is white, which makes it stand out. Of course, I would rather Brian were still around and living a happy life . But as long as I live, Brian will live in my memory .

Brian unfortunately became the Syd Barret of the Stones. Even if he had been allowed in the US he may not have been able to withstand the rigors of touring. Mick later ran six miles a day to stay in shape.
Too much emotion with Brian. He was drunk and drugged and had not the strength and discipline of the other stones. He had no future in the band and not as a solo musician.
Just saw another video on Brian...when they came into the room to announce Brian's death to the band..someone in the room replied: "Finally"...what a bunch of shitheads..I've lost all respect for that band of old codgers now.
I find it a bit of disgrace that the today's members of the group with their wealth and riches are not able to take better care for their former friend and member grave side !..
50 years ago the strolling bones weren’t such an institution, so his grave is modest considering what it would have been after 50 years of success.my dad used to laugh at this band….he’s dead now and now all generations show respect to this phenomenal band….but i dont think Brian would want to waste cash on a selfish grand memorial..being a show off at the grave he didn’t need to do that..did he ?
Not a Rolling Stone... a Standing Stone... That's a pretty standard burial place. Apparently there aren't as many fans there as there were at Jim Morrison's grave.
The Stones died July 3, 1969. Brian would have looked W A Y out of place on these ridiculous spectacles that pass for Stones concerts. Keith and Ron stumbling around stage with no idea what day it is or what country they're in. 20 f'ing guitarists, on stage, back stage, on tape playing what Keith and Brian (or Mick or Ron) put on record - only times 20. Not for me. Looks and sounds pathetic. Mick should make a workout video for seniors and just be done.

We lost Brian way too soon, he made the stones what they were, I named my son after him, who I also lost.
