In Islam, prophets are amongst the best of people. Salahuddin calls himself a ‘servant’ of the Prophet PBUH. He is literally treading on the prophet’s footsteps, using important strategic thought, taking into consideration his current circumstances, his army, his people, ensuring fairness in his rulings and discipline before making a decision. This is also what our Prophet did. He was never hasty, never showed arrogance and foremost had concern and thought for his people, his ummah. He was merciful to his enemies and never exceeded his limits of fairness. We all learn these attitudes from Him. MAy Allah swt guide us all to be more like our prophet and guide us to follow on his footsteps. It shouldn’t be a far off reality, is we really try.
