Actually his biggest mistake was not pulling down the metal fence down by the window. Or even installing a metal fence on the window in the first place.

Well we know that failed since they came through the window like nobody's business and killed Kendo. Which is why he needed the fence in the first place.
I think the fatal mistake was standing by the fucking window while we walked around the shop rather than standing behind the counter.

My respects to the Kendo Brothers, seriouslly, they practically developed all the guns used for the S.T.A.R.S force, every menber haved its own customized Samurai Edge, so non of them are equal to another, all of them are unique, heck, even Wesker still use his Samurai Edge in RE 5 showing that those Handguns where the best.

The Samurai Edge was basically a "brigadier" slide and some other dress up parts. It's my favorite 9, but all in all it's not that different to other versions of the M9/92/F/S

Some of it are from the comics. However the comics seems to fit nicely on the story.
Capcom deleted a lot of stuff from the final game, they probably gave the go-ahead for the stories to be used in the comics.

Probably don't read any of the lore in games, so that's why you don't know.. people just ignore texts in games. Refusing to read letters, documents, etc.. that's why so many people have to watch these lore videos relying on someone else to read it all for them and explain it watered down so they can understand it all..

The gunshop was probably quiet up until Leon and Clair fought their way to his gun shop guns blazing. That most likely attracted a lot of unwarranted attention from the zombies. We meet Kendo standing behind the counter gun at the ready with what looks to be a recent wound on his forearm which could be a bite but we'll never know. As a kid I always thought Robert was the truck driver because he too had gotten bit on the forearm in the same place as Robert.
Krakenfels In a sense, the player inadvertently caused Robert's death. I mean There's pretty much no where to go with all the debris and barricades all over the place. Claire was extremely lucky to find gunshop's door unlocked.
The real story here is that, he died and its all your fault.
Nope he dint in remake and real timeline goes through remake and although umm both re2 and re2 remake re3 and re3 remake are same but some timeline it has been changed and camcomp said re4 will be the final remake and remakes are same they are not remastered so both follow the timeline
Actually, no. It is all an accident by negligence, because:
A) nobody forced Kendo to stay near the windows, it was his carelessness and negligence, which ties into the next point;
B) Kendo could've rolled down some shutters(assuming he had them, because he is a shop-owner and those are a necessity, if you are one), which would have provided an extra barrier; C) Even assuming, that it was Leon/Claire, who led the zombies to the store (which is not necessarily the case), neither of them does so with intent.

Also it doesn't make ANY sense how the zombies just break through the Windows with NO warning!!!
They were not even there hitting the windows, so how did they suddenly break it??? That scene should have been better elaborated but idk if there was enough space for that considering the limitations.
Robert Kendo,a gun shop owner,should have known in advance to install a metal pull down shutters . Every privet citizen shop owner knows to buy those to protect their businesses and since Robert did not buy one for his shop,THAT was his fatal mistake that ended his life,had he bought metal shutters,there would be a FAR FAR better chance he would have lived the night...until the Nukes dropped,haha!! Robert doesn't like the type that join Clair and Leon,running all night??
Well I mean it was the 90s, and Racoon City was a smallish American city. Crime is probably not common there.
@@Freedom21stCenturi It's weird, it's a smallish city, but it's also made up of more then just the city, I think the Arklay mountains also count as part of Raccoon city right? Or at least the main county.
@@Freedom21stCenturi well the reason Umbrella helped to create the STARS Teams was to deal with the increase in crime as they were expanding the city and hiring additional officers.
Before the apocalypse, he was the only protection his shop needed because he was like this badass or something and people didn't mess with him.

Robert Kendo is seen in RE2 remake and RE3 Remake, since those games happen at the same time, you can see him taking care of "his business", he is unfriendly with Leon and Ada, but really friendly with Jill and Carlos.
You can Play Robert Kendo Story as "The ghost survivor" in RE2 remake like as "what if" could happen if he survives.
The family zombie you mention was his daughter, you can see her in RE2 remake and RE3 remake.
A gun store would probably be one of the best places to ride out a zombie apocalypse... since, in real life, they're required to have some kind of reinforced bars or roll-down shutters to prevent burglary.
Yeah, except, there would be A SHIT-TON of people trying to get a gun at your store. At first, they would probably try to buy fair and square, and you would probably do business with them, because, you probably wouldn't believe a zombie apocalypse has begun, - and, hey there's good money to be made! - but it wouldn't be too long, before people started smashing and grabbing stuff in panic. Also, factor in the chance, that a zombie could randomly pop up nearby, and stir shit up even more. SO... No, it wouldn't be the best place. Not initially. Afterwards, perhaps. But not initially.

REmake 2 is such a love letter to the original fans. The female zombie at 8:14 is found in the area outside of where the burning helicopter puzzle is.
Different Easter egg. That zombie and a male zombie are locked behind a door where you get the Shamrock key. The Easter egg is a call back to the infamous zombie door cutscene in the original

From what I can tell, Joe Kendo is indeed alive. In Resident Evil 4, Leon's starting handgun is called the Silver Ghost. The Silver Ghost has an engraving on its slide saying "Kendo Custom Shop." On the Resident Evil Wiki page about the Silver Ghost, it is stated that Joe Kendo did indeed design and build the gun as requested by Leon. There's a link at the bottom of the page under "Sources" that leads to an article explaining more about the Silver Ghost. Leon requested Joe Kendo to make a custom tactical handgun as part of his preparation to go on his mission to rescue Ashley Graham. Joe showcased the Silver Ghost to Leon and Leon was impressed by his design. Leon was even the one that named the gun "Silver Ghost." If this information is credible, then Joe Kendo is indeed still alive in the Resident Evil universe.

I really like how you delve in and bring to light these details. I think it's these details that flesh out a good game. Backstory and details are crucial imo. That's what was so fucking brilliant about the early Silent Hill games.

I feel like this video needs remade with the remakes of RE 1 and 2 in mind. such a great character I always wondered about.
So many stories in Raccoon City. I've found myself becoming more and more invested in the scenarios regarding the many Residents who lived their day to day lives. Ever since I played RE2, some of RE3 and more of the games after RE4, I began to realise that Raccoon City was they life blood of the RE series. And that even in The Resident Evil Outbreak games, it continues to reveal the lives of the few lucky survivors who managed to survive the three day nightmare.
Even as we move beyond RE7, the series will always be tied to the tragic events that took place in that once peaceful city.

For such a minor character, Robert Kendo was actually quite intriguing. Didn't know half the backstory you told on him just now, so thanks, ScorePN.
One thing that always threw me for a loop all these years since RE2 came out was how easily the glass wall to his shop broke, even after four zombies putting pressure on it all at once, and Robert's shotgun did nothing to push them back, besides. ... So I just find it hard to believe that so many citizens were flocking to Robert's shop in the days before RE2 to get guns for protection, and yet the zombies were never drawn to the shop en masse to break into it all that time, like they did when Leon/Claire arrived. I guess you could say the outbreak hadn't really set in that badly yet up until three or four days before RE2? That all that many zombies were on the streets to be drawn to all the activity in Robert's shop with everyone grabbing guns?
Yeah, I know I am over-analyzing, there, but it still bugs me just a little.
Anyways, RIP, Robert Kendo. You seemed like a pretty cool guy, even with the slightly sexist attitude toward Claire when she popped into your shop. =P ("Sorry about that, BABE." .... "I ain't got no clue, DARLIN'.")

I've never seen an American gunshop, jewelry store, pawnshop, or cannabis disensary that didn't have bars on the windows and visibly armed employees.

"I'm so scared of a monster that I'm gonna wait in this jail cell and die of thirst in a few days instead of leaving with a trained police officer"... And the irony is that the monster get him anyway, lol. Oopsie!
After seeing what's happened to every other cop, I'd take my chances with the jail cell as well lol Think about it, going outside means you're facing hordes of zombies that will eat you alive, and if you take the sewers, you'll be facing instant death with the Giant alligator or the giant tarantulas (O.o)
@@ScorePN yeah, but dying of thirst is said to be one of the most painful ways to die. Im certain Ben didn't know about alligator or spiders in the sewer, since he either would not have told them to escape that way, or he would have warned them. He always had the option to end it all with a bullet to avoid being painfully eaten. I mean if he was intent on giving up he should have just had Leon kill him right there in the cell! I mean I would have risked it all for Ada. She's hot!! ;)
