Again very nice clips. The 804 made the buckraking much easier. The synchro box must have been a joy compared with the 384.At around that time or before t we used Nuffield 10/60's on buckrakes .Just to make life interesting when the silage was pushed up we used to turn around and drive up the pit to pack t.

I bet it I bet it was a mega hot job buckraking in that 804 , it doesn’t look like it’s an XL, so the back half of the engines in the cab & she’d be steaming on that job with no aircon 🥵

The tractor buck raking is Jimmy Finneys ......... it would be fairly new a B reg, we had a C reg just after ...... f.h burgess must have been living the dream in the 70s and 80s in the dilhorne area . Thanks Sam for uploading your videos , they are great to look back on.......

Have you still got your Marshall 702, or your 285s?

@@croft9046 still got the 702, the 285 went about two years ago to a man only in Kingsley. The 270 and 255 both went about 3 years ago locally we had a 2100 that we broke for parts. We also brought a really tidy 2100 mid 90s that went in about 2014. Also still got the 384 👍

good vid but I think its 1987 or 1988 as the 1594 is a commemorative edition and they did not exist in 1986 , £15500 they were at Burgess , Marshalls sound good and that non synchro 272 must have been fun to drive

Yes we worked out it must have been 88. I thought I’d changed the date on the video but obviously not! 👍

I've tried to think the reason.... but I can't.... why did they move grass from one place to another place?... spent time, diesel and labour that could have done half of the time and half the price... so there must have been a reason I can't fathom.

My thoughts exactly isn't it amazing how many people think they can drive a tractor that's why I won't let anyone much drive mine
