  • This is my impression of the TYGR 300 R from Beyerdynamic. I'll cover all aspects of the headphone as well as if I believe it to be just a gaming headphone, or can it be for music as well? I also give comparisons to other headphones of different price points.

    i got a pair of TYGRs last month to replace a pair of shp9500 and i very happy . much deeper but not boomy bass , a little more zing in the highs and much improved soundstage and imaging . i don't pretend to be a purist audiophile . thanks , jeff

    Im planning on playing Forza COD other fps games and want good sound uality with detail? What should I pick 560s, tygr, sundara ? Or anything else. I do like some bass but nothing overwhelming
    Thanks

      For that I would recommend either the TYGR or the pc38x from drop. The Sundara works too but is the most expensive of those 3.

    While you have those you should grab the HD560s to compare to. PC38X as well.

      BTW I've been using my Aryas to play COD MWII & yeah its playable & "fun", but not the experience the HD560s is where you know every location by sound separated e.t.c. Good handycap though to avoid high K/D & getting put into camper sniper lobbys.

      I definitely have the 560s on my short list. I'll be hearing the 38x soon enough too. As for the Arya's, yes I thought those did great for gaming. I used them during some of my Elden Ring playthrough. Good times!

      The 560S has better imaging than the TYGR 300 R, but the TYGR has a more enjoyable sound signature. The PC38X is nothing special, and the high clamping force ruins that headset.

    For me the length is to short and I decided to buy a extension cable for the TYGR 300 R. The sound is absolutly different (positive) to any Gaming Headset I had. I don't have a extern sound card or a interfacer and the volume is to quiete in my opinion.

      The TYGR does benefit from a bit more power of an external amp to your point. Nothing crazy power wise. That alone will give you more volume.

      @@Skeeb23 I noticed another problem. My sound is reversed. I know there is a software called EQ Pro to change the audio channels. Should I try it first or contact Beyerdynamik?

    Looks like the Zeus doesn't come with a native 3.5mm-3.5mm cable for connecting to console controller port or dac-amp(eg GSX 1200 pro) 3.5mm port on PC. Are you using the bundled adapter to connect? Or did you buy a separate 3.5mm cable?

    • @Skeeb23
      @Skeeb23  2 роки тому +1

      I have many adapters, so I just use that. I do like the cable that comes with the Zeus, but since its dual 3.5mm connx, its an easy one to have other cables for. correct though that the Zeus only has either 3.5mm or the 4.4 connx

    What audio setting would you choose for this headset within the game itself, IE CoD? I currently use a nice set of wireless Logitech’s, and use the “boost” or similar audio setting within games. I just ordered this headset due to yours and others glowing reviews. Just wanna make sure I maximize sound quality! Thanks in advance!

    • @Skeeb23
      @Skeeb23  Рік тому +1

      If you're talking within CoD menus, I just went with the standard headphones setting. You can do headphones with bass boost if you want, but the TYGR already have sufficient bass. Congrats on the TYGR though, what are you going with for the mic out of curiosity?

      @@Skeeb23 gotcha, I’ll try the standard first. As far as the mic, I’m open to suggestions if you have any? I’d like to be semi cost efficient, as I have just built a brand new system lol

      @Skeeb23  Рік тому +1

      @@o_sood94 you can look into different modmic situations. Just make sure they work with the TYGR. Or you can just go external USB-C mic. That is what I have but then you would probably want to also get a mic boom arm so the stand isnt in the way. All depends if you are going desktop or console setup.

      @@Skeeb23 I’m on PC, and yea, I think I’ll go the same route you did. USB-C. Don’t need anything too crazy either lol. I thank you sir for the valuable info!
