  • What exactly is the gemstone known as moissanite? Naturally occurring silicon carbide, or moissanite, was first discovered by Henri Moissan in 1893. A century later, researchers at Charles & Colvard developed and patented a process for creating moissanite. Watch to learn more about the properties of Charles & Colvard's moissanite that make it The World's Most Brilliant Gem.

    My fiancé hated the fact that I wanted a moissanite engagement ring at first (because it is ethical, beautiful, and sooo worth it) since he didn’t know what it was. He thought it was worse than diamond until I showed him a bunch of videos about how amazing it is. He finally accepted it and got me a beautiful engagement ring. Now, whenever we show our ring to our friends, he can’t stop telling people about moissanite and how much better it is than diamond hahah

      An Nguyen that is awesome. Most of the time people end up buying diamonds because they think they are the best just because of what isn’t told

    I brought a moissanite to a jeweller for mounting in a ring. He had to ask me, "is it a moissanite or a diamond"?... There is really nothing more to say.

      The whole diamond thing is really a successful Oppenheimer scam. Oppenheimer's De Beers cornered the market, killed the competition, and presented diamonds as something "rare." Strangely, the Jewish Oppenheimer's even denied the U.S. industrial diamonds needed to fight the Nazis in fear that having so many diamonds out of their control could lower the price in the future (while, at the same time, refusing to close a profitable mine that they KNEW was leaking diamonds to Hitler). Check out the "Diamond Empire" from PBS ua-cam.com/video/Pr760mRwek4/v-deo.html In short: BUY MOISSANITE!

    I was a woman who absolutely LOVED diamonds!! Then I saw moissanite!!! For my 25th wedding anniversary my husband bought me a beautiful 2 1/2 carat diamond.... I CRIED...nope, not because it was so beautiful. It was because that wonderful man saved and worked so hard to buy me this beautiful $23,000.00 ring and it wasnt nearly as beautiful as a moissanite. Ladies if you have never seen a moissanite ring you must find one that you can see up close. Absolutely gorgeous. I love jewlery and each piece I have I didnt buy because it was expensive. I bought them all because I thought they were beautiful. Trust me when I say you will be complimented over and over no matter what the piece is as long as theres moissanite involved.

      @CharlesColvard  5 років тому +14

      Hi @@adeni8144, thank you for visiting our page. Moissanite is a valued gemstone and recognized as such by the American Gem Society (AGS) alongside its peers such as Ruby, Sapphire, and Diamond. Because of its superior fire, brilliance, and hardness, we offer a limited lifetime warranty on our moissanite gemstones. Its optical properties will never change or fade, and in keeping, we believe it will retain its value for a lifetime. One way for you to validate this is to look at the aftermarket for moissanite on digital marketplaces. There, you may find individuals selling their moissanite gemstones and jewelry. If you search for a gemstone of comparable quality and size, it should provide you with a sense for its value retention.

    Moissanite is a gorgeous lab created stone, no doubt about it. If you want something that is more fiery and sparkly than a diamond, and want to not contribute to the damage mining for diamonds creates or contribute to slavery used to mine diamonds, buy a Moissanite. If you still want a diamond, then buy a lab grown diamond.
