Does anyone know if Lufthansa Air Cargo is still a viable alternative for the Company.? I used to watch alot of Lufthansa Cargo flight's with the 747's moving freight all over the world.! I remember some all female crews.! I guess I will have to look for some of the air Cargo flight's. THANKS FOR SHARING.!!! This is the first notification I've gotten in a long while.!?? Lufthansa Cargo and will remain an important pillar of Lufthansa. At present, 17 Boeing 777Fs and 4 Airbus A321Fs are flying for Cargo. In 2022, ten more Boeing freighters have even been ordered - three Boeing 777 Fs and seven 777-8 Fs. Let's see when the latter can be built and delivered. As the volume of air freight continues to grow, we will certainly continue to be very present there.
Lufthansa should also use more high speed rails to connect to their hubs. At least when it is reasonable to do so.
Will the A380 and 747 updates for customers take place this years as manufacturing capacity many not meet demand by customers ? Will Global airlines make a successful business out of A380 routes to the states?
Has twin engined aircraft now reached their ultimate engineering size ? will re-engined older aircraft with four engines be more popular in the medium term, where more economical engines re configure the economics?
Smart airlines are most likely position themselves mid market refitting their cabins with predominantly Super economy and business only services from London to the USA ?
What I don't get is where Lufthansa Group is duplicative.
Why both Lufthansa City and Eurowings? Couldn't Eurowings have done what Lufthansa City is being formed to do?
Scuttlebutt was that Lufthansa Group's initial interest in ITA was about establishing a hub to Africa in Italy. Now they're forming a hub at BRU with Star Alliance partner United Airlines for U.S. to Africa connections with Brussels Airlines.
From a business standpoint, it appears to be unnecessary overhead.
They will also form Eurowings City and LH Cargo City. And also they will attempt to take over every availabke airline. And alsocmore LH Staff strikes?🙃😉
EW is a point to point airline wich is not based on LH hubs. It also is a LCC and not part of the LH network. So different model.
