Man this is exactly the video I needed. Don’t know how many times I have done this wrong. Thank you so much. Oh and I am sorry for calling you Tim. Lol. Just got mixed up with another youtuber. Have a great weekend.
Lol, it’s all good man, like always just blame Wes. Yea old Leonard Wood is still going strong, the small lake I good to for some of my videos is right beside a bunch of ranges.
So I just added the Lowrance fish finder to the cart, and the mount and transducer. Do I also need the Lowrance 000-14172-001 electrical thingy as well? Tha ks so much!
I've just bought one of these to use on my small inflatable. I was hesitant to screw into the transom, so prop mounting of the transducer looks perfect. One question, Lowrance reccomend that it "skims" the surface, does it still work perfectly fully submerged? Thanks from England.
For the most accurate readings yes having the unit skim will be the best. For the motor mount you just have to take into account how far under the water the transducer is to get the reading. Here is a test video that I did I hope this helps! ua-cam.com/video/a1zWRoWuEfs/v-deo.html
Great video! I just bought one for my old town 146 canoe. I appreciate the easy to follow along instruction. When you hook the transducer to the trolling motor, is there any electronic interference from the trolling motor? Thx
Surprisingly there is no interference with the motor. The transducer is designed to be placed on the motor or the bow, so they did get that part right!
I can imagine the interference from the electrical motor with sonar will give a million false readings, I wouldn’t be mounting it to any electrical motor housing whatsoever ever
Whats up bro! Ive just bought the lowrance 2 4x gps, mounted my transducer on the trolling motor , however i didnt put the fuse, i got it pluged directly on a 7 amp battery, after i saw your video, im wondering, is there a big risk for it to blow my fishfinder ?
Dude, you’re just fine the unit will not be affected at all especially with only a 7 amp battery. I have mine wired into a 60 amp circuit breaker and it does fine with no issues. Good luck man!
Not trying to sound nasty but your mounting sucks......... Not a fan. Your vids are good and you have a great presentation......but I would not do it that way.... Hell I play guitar and a lot of people would not play the way I do. Keep producing the vids.
I’m going to go ahead and smash the 👍🏻 I will have to watch after work
I appreciate. I just got one of those. I need to learn how to seriously up. Thanks to you and use it.Thanks

I'm looking for ways to put mine together but if you have it on the motor and you pull it up at all then it's not in the water...

And it sounds like old fort Leonard wood is alive and well. Lol
