Huh?? 🤔. Now I can't stop picturing Amy and Raymond as a couple. If they had a few more seasons to really connect, then I could've seen them completely fall for each other. Amy seems pretty patient and Ray maybe a moron most of the time but when it comes down to it, he is pretty sweet. He maybe clueless, but he has a side to which has been shown that he really does try even though he doesn't get it right most of the time. *Bottom line is, he tries to get it right.* ..and that's where I think Amy comes in at being a patient individual for him. She also seems to be drawn to his humour whereas Debra just won't have any of it. Maybe that just comes down to their history I don't know. But I can't totally see Amy and Ray together. Call me crazy but I see it. Debra on the other hand, has needs that I think that Robert can fulfill. He's pretty level headed (when you don't bring up personal things that'll rattle him) *AND* he knows Debra pretty well. To the point where he had to give advice to Ray for that present (The Dekilla Mocking Bird) for Debra. They also share one common interest and that's give Ray a hard time (teasingly of course.) Sometimes Ray bringing it on himself. But yeah, sometimes I wonder what would've happen if things turned out differently in the show...ah well, guess we'll never know. 🤔. *Food for thought*
What about Raymond himself ? He was scared to sleep alone in the house when Debra and kids were away, he went to his parents place in the middle of the night to have some company and comfort.
Robert's a weird guy, but what's weird is that we never get to see it. It's all in dialogue. Amy says some words in this episode that make the hairs in the back of my neck go up, like "tummy" and "aw this looks like a heart". Robert and Amy were meant for each other. Know why? Because nobody else wants them.
i was super pissed at how robert and debra acted over this. Amy and raymond were okay in the middle of it and robert was pissed over nothing and debra seriously spoke with 0 respect.. and my ultimate tick off was when debra said "what raymond does isn't work"... when debra pracitcally guilt bombed and nagged him into working at home in an earlier season.

I loved the show in the early days of it....but towards the end I didn't seem to find it as funny. The same stuff was getting kinda old. Still loved Frank and Marie though!
