doesn't your phone or touch screen or voice command "open trunk" or watch or the actual button on trunk do this ALREADY-------why exactly do we YET ANOTHER WAY TO OPEN THE TRUNK.
Seems like throwing money out of your window (money wasted on redundant options).

why does the button itself look so cheap? Have you owned it for months? Looking at he shrink wrap it looks like it was used and returned to the shelf.

Hey Michael, that button was not sold used, the damage on the box is unfortunately due to poor handling from Amazon. I'll redesign the packaging to be able to handle more abuse. All the best, Hugo

Pretty cool but the button looks ugly and doesn't go with the flow of the car. The makers should assume that the customers are willing to pay premium price if they can afford the teslas and make something that goes with the flow of the car. I like sexy knob but don't have it because it's too much user interaction with knobs turning and what not. I wish someone would make a device like where sexy knob goes in the car but it only has 6-8 programmable buttons that fit with the aesthetics of the car.

Once it's in the car, as far as detached buttons go, it isn't as bad ;). This is the first product released with this new wireless connection approach. The next product will be exactly what you described
