But after I got to know Mamamoo and saw moomoos talk a lot about MAMAMOO's unique debut stage, I checked out the debut stages of some of the most popular ggs and bgs rn, and to me, Mamamoo's stage is not anything like any of the other groups I saw. The sheer simplicity yet class is what makes the difference I guess, as well as the fact that they are already singing and rapping over the almost non-existent mr and giving adlibs. This also has one of the most no of mistakes I've seen in their performances because as a new fan I'm used to flawless perfs😅 But at least they didn't try to hide it like other groups with mr and stuff😎

The audience is silent. The outfits and stage are quite simple. Their debut was humble. But the genuine TALENT and charisma have always been there! This is beautiful. They won this battle with authenticity, and Talent. So proud. They inspire me really much!

Sorry it's late reply, I think one of the reason aside from what others mentioned is bc they made some mistakes in their first debut and they still remembered it (i.e Solar's mustache ring that fell off to the ground and she kicked it fabulously and it was almost unnoticeable)
When you compare this stage to their other stages, you can almost hear no fans shouting or anything, not to be dramatic,but they came from nothing, and now they are one of the biggest and one of the most talented girl group in Korea right now, but it's sad that they are underrated internationally :((
Before, I always wondered why mamamoo's debut stage was said to be one of the best. I watched other groups' debut stages after and realized that even though mamamoo's set was not as grand or their styles are simpler than others, the talent and energy they brought out here clearly outweighs the other factors. I'm so proud they've gone a long way from here 🥺

2014 to Now. Wow. They are a true success story. Small company. Little to none resources. 0 fanbase. They built everything they have themselves along with theor CEO who gave them a chance when no one else did. And that's all it takes a chance. Solar 50 turned down auditions. Hwasa told she was ugly and fat. Wheein not pretty enough. And Moon...scammed and told her singing was not good. Look at them now.
The fact there were only 3 people there and they still had the confidence and charisma to make it seem like there was a full on audience is amazing. (Also for a debut they looked like they had already been performing for years.)
I recently have been watching other kpop groups' debut stages out of curiosity. They were nice, but this stage is out of this world. Even with Mamamoo's bare stage, their obviously raw live vocals really shine. I don't know how to put it, but every performance of theirs is always so unique. You can't just watch one during their promotions.
I love how baby MMM was pole opposite of regular kpop GGs- full of talent, unique individual charm (no visual, no visual hole either), confidence, boldness and a lot of sass. They love the stage and it showed since day 1.

요거 무대 집에서 티비로 보다가 어? 콧수염 빠졌다? 이랬는데 이때가 처음 마마무 알았을 때였지 콧수염 빠진게 너무 강렬해서 잊을 수가 없었던 무대였어
그리고 이때 느낀게 그당시에 데뷔하던 다른 그룹들하고 차별성이 강했고 가창력 춤 하나도 빠짐 없어서 다들 마마무 뜬다고 그랬는데 괜히 믿듣맘무 라는 수식어가 나온게 아니였지ㅠ 최고였어 진짜...
솔직히 이시기에 걸그룹은 대부분 청순,섹시,큐티 거의 컨셉이 3가지 밖에 없었는데 레트로라니 게다가 잘해.. 걸그룹이라기엔 실력이 너무 아까움

I think is because the only audience in here is their family members, friends and tiny amount of fans, tiny company, almost non-existing promotion. This makes me sad because they had a super good start
Sorry it's late reply, I think one of the reason aside from what others mentioned is bc they made some mistakes in their first debut and they still remembered it (i.e Solar's mustache ring that fell off to the ground and she kicked it fabulously and it was almost unnoticeable)

Before, I always wondered why mamamoo's debut stage was said to be one of the best. I watched other groups' debut stages after and realized that even though mamamoo's set was not as grand or their styles are simpler than others, the talent and energy they brought out here clearly outweighs the other factors. I'm so proud they've gone a long way from here 🥺

And that's all it takes a chance. Solar 50 turned down auditions. Hwasa told she was ugly and fat. Wheein not pretty enough. And Moon...scammed and told her singing was not good. Look at them now.

I recently have been watching other kpop groups' debut stages out of curiosity. They were nice, but this stage is out of this world. Even with Mamamoo's bare stage, their obviously raw live vocals really shine. I don't know how to put it, but every performance of theirs is always so unique. You can't just watch one during their promotions.

나혼자산다 화사 나오는거 보고 아 화사만 나오면 너무 웃기는구나 이정도로 생각하다가 평소대로 나혼산 챙겨보고있는데 베프 휘인이랑 같이 전주 가는 편을 보고 휘인이 그르륵캌캌캌에 입덕했다 그 뒤로 계속 영상 찾아봤는데 도른자4명이라니ㅠㅠ 흔하지않은 걸그룹이라서 더 좋다
너무 능숙해서 나이가 되게 많을줄알았는데 생각보다 넘 어려서 깜놀한.... 그때 뭐지? 예능인가 인터뷰인가.... 사람들이 나이많게본다 이런적 있는데 걍 너무잘해서 그렇게 어릴리가없어 이런느낌임 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 걍 좋다구요

I love how baby MMM was pole opposite of regular kpop GGs- full of talent, unique individual charm (no visual, no visual hole either), confidence, boldness and a lot of sass. They love the stage and it showed since day 1.
