The "love at first fight" scene with Wenwu and Ying Li at the beginning was the hottest courtship scene in the MCU, haha. My gf and I even made costumes from that scene, to wear at a convention!
The martial arts was so amazing in this!!! I actually want to see crouching Tiger after this, someone had mentioned that movie when talking about Shang chi and I just see it!
6:20 The person that trains Shang Chi, his name is Death Dealer. He's also being played by the same actor Andy Lee. He was the security guard in Everything, Everywhere All at Once.
Fun Facts: 1. The fight choreography was done by two members of Jackie Chans stunt team, Bradley Allen(RIP) and Andy Cheng. 2. The rings were originally jewelry in the comics, but here they are meant to be a homage to rings used by Shaolin and Hung Gar kung fu practionors. 3. Andy Le, a member of the Martial Club stunt team, was brought on to train Simu Liu and play Death Dealer(dude with cool mask with daggers). 4. The elder master who tries to talk smack to Wen Wu is played by Yuen Wah, a Hong Kong actor best known for being a member of the 7 Little Fortunes, an acting troupe that included Jackie Chan.
This movie was so much fun. I was hooked from the fight between the parents. Now a lot of us are waiting to see karaoke with Shang, Katy, Wongers, and Madisynn.
Katie's grandmother was played by the actress who played Fu Manchu's daughter in the old movies. In the original Marvel comic Shang Chi was the son of Fu Manchu!
IT HAS BEGAN!!!!!! I love this movie! Shang Chi is one of my favorite superheroes! My top five favorite superheroes are Batman, Wolverine, Shang Chi, Spider-Man & Flash. Seeing Shang Chi have his own solo movie is so satisfying 😌 To me, it accomplished so much what I wanted to see in Iron Fist & Black Panther. Regardless, hope you like this movie! 🙏🏽💪👏
Too fun! I loved this movie and loved rewatching it with you. I hate that i just found you and it looks like you've not put out a new video in a year. I think it's time for a reboot to 🙂
Thanks for this. When I first saw it I wasn't going to watch it- these shows can go one way or another and I was worried it would go the wrong way. But it was really well made, the story and acting were great, far better than I could have asked for really. So again, thanks, I only chose to watch it so I could see your reaction to it. lol
I was more impressed with this than I thought I'd be. I'm a good fan of martial arts plus the mystical theme. Sima knows some good moves. I think the moves were choreographed by Jackie Chan which makes it even cooler.
Right?? I wasn’t sure if it was gonna have good fight choreo, I expected to to be more action super hero stuff but it was really beautiful and done so well!!
@@NiaMakiReacts Plus they got creative with the Ten Rings. From what I remember, they were originally finger rings worn by more comic accurate Mandarin. These Ten Rings here are awesome. Makes me want a set.
Not Jackie chan but his stunt team, and the main coordinator sadly passed away I think last year. Hopefully they can bring back the same team for the sequel though.
@@NiaMakiReacts my friend, I loved your reaction. Let me ask you though, I know you have posted reactions to episodes from animated series, but will you react to any animated films?

Aww you guys are the cutest couple!! That scene got me so invested
I absolutely LOVE this movie! It feels very much like an old school, Hong Kong martial arts/action movie, but, with a Marvel size budget.

Nia 😂 you accepted that Trevor died so fast, I'm dying 😂 this is a great reaction!!
😂 when I was editing I was surprised too, considering how I kept almost losing it with Katie, the sister, dad etc 😂 and I was like “oh” for him
7:55 Fighting with Wong is Abomination from the Hulk movie, although he looks different here.
I initially had no interest in seeing this movie but when I did I loved it.
