Herman's one of my favorite painters. Good sense of humor.
Stretching paper does take time. However it’s a great thing to do and becomes part of creating a painting. So stretch and have several papers ready on boards to paint. Also leaving washes to dry naturally aids the brilliance of colours. Have fun stretching that way you can work on lots of paintings around the studio. Thanks

A great demonstration, thank you David snd John. I checked out the Faux squirrel 1827 liner Aux Resevoir brush. It appears it’s not available in UK. What a shame as it is used for most of the demo painting. And looks like a very interesting brush.

Why do I feel like I'm the only one that struggles with trees? it looks easy enough to just drop color in and let it do it's thing but every time I do it it doesn't resemble a tree at all!!
