    I'm sure that many have said this already, but I really hope that you'll continue making lessons like these. I tried using all sorts of textbooks and materials, but your lessons are truly the best. I love the way you teach, from using paper and pens to your clear explanations and examples. A huge thank you :)

    I have a doubt ma'am...
    In the question " how did Jisoo get an A" you wrote it as
    "지수가 어떻게 A를 바덨지 ?"
    Why did you use 바덨지 instead of 바덨어? According to one of your previous lessons 지 is used for affirmation(confirmation) right?
    Then why is it used to ask a question here?

    • @marilynlee6925
      @marilynlee6925 4 роки тому

      i have the same question too

    • @KoreanwithMissVicky
      @KoreanwithMissVicky  4 роки тому +21

      When -지 is used with the question word, (in this case, 어떻게) it can be a question of wondering to yourself. So 지수가 어떻게 A를 받았지? would be closest in meaning to "I wonder how Jisoo got an A."
      For example,
      지수가 왜 왔지? (Why did Jisoo come? I wonder why Jisoo came.)
      쟤 어디 가지? (Where is he going? I wonder where he's going.)
      It's used like this.
      But in plain question, -지 ending is used as a question of affirmation :)

    01:40 is okay to use either Sino-Korean numbers as well as Native Korean numbers for telling the age or does it has to be specific ?

    • @MrSenChoi
      @MrSenChoi 3 роки тому +2

      In above case, Sino-Korean will sound awkward, so not recommended. But they’re used sometimes because some kids are not used to Native Korean numbers or you can’t remember it suddenly.

    • @MrSenChoi
      @MrSenChoi 3 роки тому +2

      But if you want to use Sino Korean numbers use 세 instead of 살. And using Native Korean with 세 is completely wrong. And not even rarely used.

    18:28 in your another video you said verb comes last. But why in this video 공부 comes first before 열심히? I thought it 열심히 공부했어. Or are both correct? Thank you miss vicky 🌹

    • @KoreanwithMissVicky
      @KoreanwithMissVicky  4 роки тому +8

      It's a really good question. What all verbs that end in -하다 have in common is that, they come after a noun. So 공부 from 공부하다 is actually a noun that means study. Also in verbs like 요리하다, 일하다, 청소하다, the words before 하다(요리, 일 and 청소) are all nouns, and each of them means cooking, work, and cleaning.
      Verbs with 하다 can be separated like 공부 + 하다, 일 + 하다, 요리 + 하다, so when you want to say " I study Korean, "you can say 저는 한국어를 공부해요 but you can also say 저는 한국어 공부를 해요. So 공부 and 해요 got separated, with 공부 becoming a noun, an object in a sentence, and only 해요 remains in the verb place. Also when you wanna say "I cook" you can say "저는 요리해요" but another possible sentence is 저는 요리를 해요, making 요리 a noun, an object in a sentence. So this is one special trait about -하다 verb :) I'll explain more in another video, but hope this helps u for now~

      I think I remember someone else (TTMIK) explaining it as a shortened version of 'teacher'. 선생님 is teacher so 샘 is like combining them all into one syllable. It's still polite to call your teacher 선생님 unless they say it's ok to call them 샘.

      Try talking to yourself, that's what I do. Then after you become slightly confidente at speaking try to find any native speaker who would be willing to help you.
