So what you're saying is ..... meiosis means I came from the chosen egg, and therefore, I am the chosen one. Thank you sir, this was all I needed.
Yer a wizard
Congratulations sir
@@lltcacul750 funny
not only are you the fastest sperm, you are also the chosen egg
Ur awesome Kay
You make more sense in 12 mins than an entire class of 2 hours. Thank you.
You are an amazing teacher. I am in medical school, and I use your videos all the time. I have probably had to learn the cell cycle at least ten times, and I still have to re-learn it every time because there is always some critical piece missing. There is no point in sitting in hours and hours worth of lectures, learning the details of how each E3 ubiquitin protein ligase works if you do not have the basics down. Maybe the next time I have to learn the cell cycle, I will be ready for the details, thanks to your excellent tutorials. THANK YOU!
Repetitio est mater studiorum
What ten times ! I just started learning this. RIP me.
As a visual learner, this is AMAZING x10000000. Finals are coming, and you're making this really entertaining.
facts life saver 4 years later
@@ExL999 Very True!! Cheers! good-luck on any exams ❤️
Mr. Anderson my science teacher introduced our 9th grade class to your videos and i just want to say keep doing what you are doing as a teenager saying this i may seem lame but your videos really help me in my class thank you and don't ever stop sharing your knowledge and making people smarter THANK YOU!
my bio teacher just shows us your videos
Same
sameee
Shizznap My teacher made us watch it for hw
New year, gl guys! This teacher actually seems capable of teaching.
+Shizznap Bad teacher
Search for a better mitosis and meiosis video on the internet all you want, but you won't find a better one than this, trust me. This guy is amazing, I subscribed, thank you for this simple and great simulation.
No fancy graphics, just simple objects and models. This is perfect. Many thanks!
am i the only one who started laughing when all of a sudden he's like "huntington's disease means you're gonna DIE" like whoa this video suddenly took a dramatic turn like why couldn't it just have been the gene for like toe size lmfao
Angela L My class stated laughing like crazy.
@Hazyl Mowatt lol
literally ! then he's like .. Okay moving on :D haha
@killergoku56 Thanks. I added a caption during the video that points out my error.
@sosweetss57 Great question. Organelles like the mitochondria and chloroplast will duplicate independently throughout the cell cycle. They have their own DNA and act autonomously. The other organelles can be constructed in the cell. After cytokinesis a cell will have fewer organelles in each half but they will quickly return to normal during Interphase.
YOU ARE A GIFTED TEACHER...THANK YOU FOR POSTING THESE VIDEOS
Absolutely fantastic - so much easier for me to understand than simply reading about it in a textbook!
This helps a lot. Guys if you dont get something on here. Go back and watch that part again and listen closer. You sir are a genius!
+Demetrios B poo off blud
+The Heritage your so stupid pls shut up
Thank you. I have been trying to understand the concept for months. Your explanation is clear and one of the best so far. I hope you will continue to teach.
Thank you for the time you put in these, I appreciate your dedication !
i have watched so many clips to make myself understand meiosis but it didn't work...
im so glad that i found this vid- HELPED ME SO MUCH! i actually get it now!
thank you helped more than my teeacher
My teacher is a son of a bitch

Wow, really great teaching technique! This is how it should be taught to anyone in order to truly understand the processes, rather than just looking at pictures and explanations.
Brilliant way to explain something that's not as complex as it first appears. First time I had about cells in school was about many years ago, I only actually understood the last bit about meiosis and mitosis "pairing together" like that when an infant is born. I feel like I understand the most basic principle of life right now which is amazing - so thanks!
OH MY FREAKIN GOD! OMG OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! You helped me sooo much. Been trying to figure this out these pass few days. Was missing some key parts that they didn't explain in the book. Couldn't find this anywhere else. Thanks to you I can pass biology!
So, my Biology teacher sent me here and i have an assignment to make a simulation video about mitosis and meiosis, hope yaall have a great day
12 years! and its still worthy!
i was not able to wrap my head around it for 2 days but this dude made me understand it in 12 mins!
This is by far the best video on meiosis with all critical pieces of info in place, which is a rarity!
just briliant. thank you!
thank you for helping me pass bio
How did this help u
@@shashikalasridharv3250 it actually does help I got my exam tomorrow and thx to this video I understand it
I wish you were my biology teacher! You explain everything simply and make it easy to understand. Awesome job!
This is such an amazing video! Ive been struggling in labs and lecture with this concept and I couldn't be more clear about it now. THANK YOU
Thanks so much for this video! Totally cleared up some of my confusion. :)
Thank you it's really helpful.
Thank you for all the help you give us with your very simple explanation in Biology. I love it every time. This is not the only one I have watch but all of my Biology book and Medical Terminology books. Thank you so very much.
Finally! Finally!! I realised independent assortment!!! The whole procedure is very demonstrative! 🙏🏼
Hi~I’m a student from Taiwan . My grades have been in the middle class because I have never read books, so I want to borrow this winter holiday once, just when I don't understand the chromosomes, I saw your movie. I feel great by physical operation, but I also slipped your video and it didn't show up last year. No matter what happened, I hope you can continue to make the film. Your movie is really great! Thank you (≧▽≦)
Sir......
YOU . ARE . GREAT !
These videos are extremely helpful, and explain the concepts clearly. I now understand the sister chromatids, chromatin, homologous chromosomes, etc.
Bozeman Science Sir - you have achieved the impossible. you have taught me Mitosis/Meiosis. It was just not getting through my skull when I read wikipedia, and other videos. After seeing your beads demo, I got it! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"One of these will be the chosen one" *taraa* haha liked that touch :P
10:21 The Chosen One
Seriously everytime i watch your video, i make prayer for you. Everytime from last 7 years.
Mr. Anderson, You are the best. God Bless You!!
Who else checked if they have hitchhikers thumb haha
lmao i did. As soon as he said it.
lol its funny you said that
wagadanga Definitely.. and I have it. x.x
I gave you a THUMBS UP. Huehuehue.
me, I did it
So we ended up with the huntington's disease. Sad story.
So far the best illustration of mitosis/meiosis out there. Really good stuff!
You have such a great talent. Thank you for sharing it with the world!
I LOVE YOU
like, if you noticed how he erased the spindle fibers with his finger
By far the best explanation i've come across. Thank you!!!
Amazing, so clear. Thanks for refreshing my memory on this!
The chosen one sound hahahaha

I had been searching for a video like this far too long! Thank you so much!
*gives you a cookie* *likes* *throws a bag of subscribe*
I've got my IB Biology exam tomorrow and I just wanted to thank you for helping me finally understand the difference between Meiosis and Mitosis!
Thank you Mr. Andersen! Finally a clear explanation of both!
11:14 "well now we've got chromosome 1 that we got from dad" **points to chromosome that came from the egg**
8:04 "As I start to lose some of my chromosome here" -Paul Andersen 2010
This is the best explanation I found on mitosis/meiosis. I was unable to understand this until I saw this. Lovely.
Thank you for sharing! It helps me a lot to understand my lesson at school. Great job!
For an EEEEEEGG
I am so glad this comment exists
someone give this man a knighthood! My god, genius, pure genius!
Excellent..I was bouncing from video to video until divine intervention took hold and brought me here
Mr Anderson! you are so talent. You're lecture very clear and very helpful. Thank you so much for your video.
fk this shit its summer bye felica
Annnnnnnnnd the new cell has Huntington's….
This is the best Meiosis video ever! This is a big help for us teachers who wishes to improve our method into making the subject interactive and meaningful for the students. Thank you. :D
Honestly this was by far the most helpful thing ever! in books they don't explain it well enough. thank you
Who else is studying for exams in quarantine??
Am I the only one who thought of Harry Potter when he said "the chosen one"?
this is something for which I was looking for from a long time!!!!! amazingly explained......thanx for making this topic Crystal clear!!!!!!!!!
I understand this now.
I used to think how are all four of the cells different when two of them are exact copies, but with the colour changing I realised it coded for completely different things! Thankyou!
NO DONT LOOK AT THE COMMENTS, NOW GO ACE YOUR BIO TEST
ight bet
true
Did you ace it?
hahaha my teacher has no idea what she has to do. teachers these days :P
You wanna attempt to fashion a complete and coherent sentence? Students these days....
I had to comment and say what an amazing visual display. WOW. Wonderful way to encourage retention of information. You RoCk!!!!!
Thank you. This has helped me incredibly!!! You are a very gifted teacher, taking something complex and simplifying it.
there is too many holes; you didn't say: that in G1 phase the cell creates more protein to grow back to its normal size after Telophase; S phase the Chromosomes AND ORGANELLES replicate to produce copies of themselves; G2 is where the cell prepares to seperate to produce 1 whole cell (with same content as the parent cell[where it came from])... theses points are very important if u want them to understand the Interphase and how it would linked to Telophase, this could also help them figure out that the whole process is continuous.
erase all the lines!!
Today I had to spend two hours in lecture and three hours in the lab - they been teaching the same thing and I didn't understand ..u explained it in minutes 😊 thank you, subscribed/liked
I have my AP Biology final tomorrow and I'm trying to cram in as many of your videos as possible. Thanks so much for all your help!

+The Heritage your so cool, i wish to be like you one day when i grow up :D
+The Heritage thx bro ik im cool

I really appreciate these videos! Sometimes the best way to learn a complicated process is to simplify it! This is helping me get through med school! P.S. Love the props! so much better than other artificial simulations. BRAVO!
This video is honestly saving me right now! Thanks so much!
It is the simplest and most effective explanation.
Really well explained! I found this video much more helpful than any animation on youtube teaching meiosis/mitosis
Why I haven't watched this video before 4 years.Believe me I wasted 4 years understanding mitosis and meiosis.Every confusion clear now.Love you man.
Thank you very much! This video cleared all misunderstood concepts and made them clear. I owe you big time :D
This makes it so much easier, you have to see it to make learning it easier
Thanks for going through to explain what happens after cytokinesis in meiosis. Many videos stop at cytokinesis.
Thank you very much. Your video was very helpful. Cleared all my confusion.
Mr. Andersen, great video! And by the way, I can actually feel the anointing God has on you. I had to watch it several times because of the peaceful, relaxing feeling you push off. Be blessed brother!!!
I first found this video 4 years ago in 9th grade and it saved me in bio class. Referred to it again in 11th grade in AP bio. Now a freshman at Princeton and watching it again lol.
thank you! i have been watching several of your videos and they are extremely helpful. especially this one. such a lifesaver. thank you, thank you, thank you!
My teacher couldn't explain it this well in 3 hours, and he's a pretty good teacher. Nicely done.
the best, straight to the point cell division video!
Watched these videos in high school for environmental science now my bio prof has me watch them in college. Blessed
This video is extremely informative and educational! Thank you so much love your videos!
Thank you for simplifying and explaining terms
Thanks so much for taking the time to upload your biololgy videos. You are amazing at describing things in a way I can understand. These videos are helping me pass biology and enjoy it :)
awesome, thank you so much for taking the time to do this video.
You have no ideia of how much you helped me. Thank you very very much!
Thank you so much for the explanation. We homeschool and are using Apologia Exploring Creation with Biology, this provided a deeper understanding. Thank you!
I just learned more in this video than I have I a week of learning about this in my class.
Thank you! My professor tried explaining this same thing in class today and all of us were lost. This was much more helpful.
