So what you're saying is ..... meiosis means I came from the chosen egg, and therefore, I am the chosen one. Thank you sir, this was all I needed.

You are an amazing teacher. I am in medical school, and I use your videos all the time. I have probably had to learn the cell cycle at least ten times, and I still have to re-learn it every time because there is always some critical piece missing. There is no point in sitting in hours and hours worth of lectures, learning the details of how each E3 ubiquitin protein ligase works if you do not have the basics down. Maybe the next time I have to learn the cell cycle, I will be ready for the details, thanks to your excellent tutorials. THANK YOU!

@sosweetss57 Great question. Organelles like the mitochondria and chloroplast will duplicate independently throughout the cell cycle. They have their own DNA and act autonomously. The other organelles can be constructed in the cell. After cytokinesis a cell will have fewer organelles in each half but they will quickly return to normal during Interphase.

Brilliant way to explain something that's not as complex as it first appears. First time I had about cells in school was about many years ago, I only actually understood the last bit about meiosis and mitosis "pairing together" like that when an infant is born. I feel like I understand the most basic principle of life right now which is amazing - so thanks!

there is too many holes; you didn't say: that in G1 phase the cell creates more protein to grow back to its normal size after Telophase; S phase the Chromosomes AND ORGANELLES replicate to produce copies of themselves; G2 is where the cell prepares to seperate to produce 1 whole cell (with same content as the parent cell[where it came from])... theses points are very important if u want them to understand the Interphase and how it would linked to Telophase, this could also help them figure out that the whole process is continuous.
