Test flying the DA40 TDI in Microsoft Flight Simulator

Microsoft Flight Simulator comes with a number of really great aircraft - among them the DA 40 TDI. I take it up for a flight from Booker airfield in the UK on a windy day, and we try it out - performing some stalls, some approaches, and even a simulated dead stick at the end of the flight.
This will probably be the first of a number of videos trying out the stock aircraft - to see how good they are.
p.s. look out for the down-wind approach, where I can't figure out why the aircraft isn't slowing down :)

I find your tutorials / reviews invaluable Jonathan. Not only are they excellently presented (narration, video qualities, and appropriate durations), what I find very useful is your sharing of the thinking when things didn't go well or as planned. A very gifted teacher / tutor and I thank you for all the effort you have put in to allow us enjoy our simulations (Games !!??) more.

p.s. look out for the attempted down-wind landing (aborted), which turns into a REALLY good example of why you should land INTO the wind.

You seem to be getting better resolution/sharpness than me for some reason. Any idea what may cause this? I have bad eyes and every little bit makes a difference. E.g around 2:14 with the dashboard zoomed in, if i replicate the shot, your dials look clearly sharper and crisper than mine. I cant figure a reason for this since obviously its the same monitor and i run the game in full screen and native resolution and i dont use any downsampling (that i know of).. some setting maybe? i could really use the sharpness you are getting.

Are you running it in Ultra, in the graphics settings ?
