Good blog there pal hitting the gym 3 times a week myself at moment loads of stretching and mobility exercises plus a bit of weights & cardio all to improve my golf, must say you did look knackered at the end though 😀😀
I have started training my flexibilty about a year ago, not specifically related to. Feeling a lot better but it's a slow process keep it up mate. That outfit though, it cracked me up, I am not sure I buy into all the compression gear.
Thought you might burst into tears there Kev!😂 I'm a regular swimmer mate, along with a 5 minute daily stretching routine for a dodgy back. I do a few press ups and leg extensions twice a week and that seems to keeps me in decent enough nick for golfing...Happy new year!
Well done kev,,looked hard! ..try "planking" at home...gives you great core strength,,and a golf swing is powered by the Abs and core strength...lots of streching for the flexiblity...i go to Pure gym Hunslet...mainly strength work. my job keeps me fairly flexible.....played a few holes at Oulton today the ones at the back of the Hotel...course looked very good but was saturated..but the greens were fantastic condition on the 9 at the back of the Hotel.. saw a great tip on UA-cam, went to try it..worked amazingly! got my regular game in morning..so hoping to try out the new tip! keep up the good work..nice watching you train lol
Well done, very brave of you for posting that vlog Kev, keep up the good work. If you are serious about mobility, flexibility and core strength I strongly recommend that you do an exercise routine called the 5 Tibetans daily. It`s a set of 5 exercises that work the whole body and it takes 10minutes max, it`s been practised for over 2,500 years so you can rest assured that it works. There are plenty of posts on UA-cam that you can use to get you started. I started doing the routine daily 5 years ago when I hit 60, 5 years on my flexibility, mobility and balance are so much better I`m like a new man! Not being personal but you also need to drop some weight. My suggestion would be as follows; throw away anything in your fridge or freezer that says "Low Fat" and ditch margarine and skimmed milk. Instead use full Fat everything, Milk, Butter, Cheese and Eggs. Instead of Beer drink Cider. For breakfast instead of cereals have an omelette loaded with cheese, chicken and tomatoes. Ditch all bread (brown as well as white) and eat meat or fish in a salad instead. Lastly you need to ditch all Pasta and Pizzas. Do this and I guarantee that you will drop two trouser sizes in 8weeks,!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck, start with 11 of each exercise then gradually build it up to max of 21. The daily exercises coupled with substituting Pasta, bread, cereals and beer will shred the fat, I have dropped from a size 42 waist to a 36 waist!
Please listen to her. It is not just about getting your movement back, it is also about getting better movement. See Jason Day and many others who simply get stronger but continue the same move that hurt them and sooner or later end up injured again.
Almost 2k followed Kev hopefully u can reach that in the next 2 weeks
