Abdellah Taïa - "Stormy Sea" by Gustave Courbet

Abdellah Taïa (b. 1973 in Rabat, Morocco) is a Moroccan writer and filmmaker. The author of twelve books translated in Europe and the USA, he was the laureate of the Prix de Flore in 2010 for Le Jour du roi (The King’s Day). He directed the film The Salvation Army (2013), which premiered at the Venice Mostra and the Toronto Film Festival. He lives and works in Paris.
