I wish we had something like that here.
Likewise, live in Australia there is nothing
Never stop making these swap meet videos! They are a feast for the eyes and a fine kind of daydreaming for those who live far from where such things happen. Across the pond, actually.
Oh yes, I love these types of videos, so when I have the opportunity to make them myself I can't say no. Glad you enjoyed it!
That bell and howell apple II was a bargain!
Awesome stuff to be found as usual. I need to get something like this going in Michigan.
I would never be able to go to one of these. I would be broke. There are so many steals and trips down nostalgia lane.
Good number of ThinkPads!
There were! I had to stay strong... lol
Thanks for posting this video. 🤠
Man, I wish we had things like this where I live! There doesn't seem to me much if any at all in a retro computing community in Montgomery, AL and the tri-county area.
All the good Jawas live in Jersey. Sheesh😂
Happy to have met you, Steve!
It was great bumping into you, I hope you found something cool to take home!
If only I weren't in the complete opposite direction that weekend... but when you get the opportunity to go to the beach (at North Myrtle Beach in South Carolina), you go!
It was 81 degrees and all of us wearing jeans were sweating our butts off... I think you sent that weather our way!
@@Mac84 It was downright windy chilly when we got to the beach… But it seems I brought that weather back to Virginia with me, or it was waiting for me here, as it was 83F outside when I got back Saturday!
Thanks for the video! Can't wait to see what you got me, let me know when it's shipped 👍
Those are my tables starting at about 5:29. I thought I recognized you from UA-cam, so I asked you if you're "UA-cam Famous". You said no, you only have about 16k subscribers, and that I was probably thinking of Action Retro. No, no, turns out that you are, indeed, UA-cam Famous! (At least to me.)
I sold/gave away nearly everything, and had a great time doing it. Even donated a 4-port PBX to VCFED, which they might use to demonstrate running a BBS with old systems. Awesome!
Haha, hello! I guess I'm famous enough :-) It was very nice chatting with you, I appreciate the freebies! They will certainly go toward making some Macs happy again. I'm glad you had a great time, hope to see you at another one of these events! I guess you're famous by proxy too. ;-)
God I wish we had something like that in Alabama
It's my mission to make it to one of these VCF events, one day.
Now I feel old after seeing the computer I got in my late teens being referred to as vintage (g4 tower)
The swap was so much fun. There was so much cool stuff there! I bought a lot and even got tons of free stuff! Also, it's always nice to say hi to you 🙂
Wow, lots to buy and see there!
I know! Super dangerous... :O
I wonder how much they wanted for the PS/2 65SX? Those are very nice.
I had this show on my calendar and I really wanted to go. But looking at your video, I'm glad I didn't. I have no room for all of the stuff I see in the video and likely would've bought. That 1710AV monitor when you first walked in.... Oh, lawdy!
I knowwww, there were T W O of them... I had to be strong, I have one in my garage that needs work.
Nice walkthrough! Thanks for sharing with us.
Love the video. Thanks. Would be cool to ask for some prices, especially on the rare stuff.
I wanted to go, but I could not... now I feel bad I was not able to go...
Good gracious. I'm glad I wasnt there. I'd go so broke. Two 1581s for $400? Tandy 5meg HD? SD-2 Dual drive? holy smokes.
Still genuinely surprised no one jumped on that RGB in-box. Guess it was a sign it needs to keep its spot in my collection. Nice seeing everyone again.
It'll be there next time, as it didn't sell. It was mighty tempting! But I don't have the room for yet another boxed Apple CRT.
I wish there was one of these near me. I live in Upstate NY near Rochester.
It was great meeting you & seeing you again. I'm the guy (DJ Mike) who told you about my future plans as an upcoming UA-cam content producer. Your video was done so early in the day ! I missed out on some good finds getting there late (about 12:00) because of traffic coming from Long Island (The Verrazano Bridge traffic was insane for a Saturday morning) .. as always, looking forward to your knowledge and fun educational videos.
It was good to see you! Oh yes, these events are totally for the early bird. But then again, at the end of the day it's possible to get the best deals. Thanks for the kind words, I hope you picked up something cool!
Thanks for buying my junk, I mean incredibly cool card scanner and Minidisc player.
I’ll let you know how both work out… I don’t want to fry the poor minidisc stereo!
I tried it, the MD player works! 👍
@@Mac84 glad to hear it. Enjoy!
This is fantastic. If this was in the UK it’ll be swarming with rats trying to grab it to flog on eBay.
Had too much to do on that day otherwise I would have been there to buy cool things I don't really need! But nothing about retro is about need, so I wouldn't feel too bad. Edit: finished watching the video - way too many Apple II (e/c/gs), meaning that I would NOT have been able to resist.
Hey a Que! FireWire CD-R drive.
404 videos. Congrats.
This video reminded me I had forgot to pick up my laserdisc player from the dude with the laserdisc!!! Does anyone know who it was???
No worries, I know them - send me an email (go to my channel and select about to find it).
I actually spotted some software I own, the star trek interactive technical manual.
perhaps a Mac or two but hard to see the model numbers, thanks for the video Steve :)
So much garbage and so much great stuff. My personal fav. is the stack of Linksys routers. I did that at least once if not more than that at thrift stores years ago. :p I want a pc net card for a pc but not the price.
If I won the lottery I'd come here and buy so much - but I'm a teenage student XD
That big AppleVision AV monitor at the beginning... I want to find one of those eventually.
I saw two at the show! One had burn in at the menu bar, lovely displays!
I bought that one!
You dont even know who Birdman is, he is the BOSS of Young Money Records and he buys you and your channel and all that stuff in the video with a flick of a finger.
Is there any reading material l, like magazines or books that identifies all the difference computer models, and tvs. I've always been fascinated about all of this but don't know much about them I grew up with some of the electronics in this video and I'm looking to become a collector. Any help would be great
Your best bet is to go to Wikipedia or Archive.org and search for the subjects you are interested. However there will likely not be one over-arching document or magazine that identifies everything. It'll usually be by platform or brand.
it gave me so much regretful market like this video exist any more in korea...🥲🥲
