Alot of beautiful radios gezzz 😮
Alot of treasures 😮😮
Thank you for this great video! What an amazing selection of radios & vintage electronics! Looks like a good turnout, that's always a good thing for the hobby!
Thank you! Vendor and buyer turn-out was great, and the selection was really good. It took a fair amount of discipline on my part not to come home with more than I did!
I live nearby was not aware of the swap meet, sorry I missed it.
Love this walk around 👍💯
My friend, Jonathan B., was probably there!
Thanks for posting this fine video John. It was a fun event! - Ken S
Nice video, thanks. I've had my share of those old radios over the years. Maybe I'm a geek, but I'd like to have some cologne that smells like the old electronics.
Oh, I'm with you there! My Telefunken console exudes such a wonderful smell when operating.
Awesome vintage radios 📻. Thanks for the video
Enjoyed this video. Sitting here in the EastEnd of London.
Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the tour! I like the Impressive collection of Emerson Radios that were on display!
Thanks for uploading the video! Great to see some of things I missed!
I really like the Howard at about 7:20 to 7:30 brown shaped like a mail box.
Excellent catch! I would have bought that if the price was reasonable. The larger Howard radios with S meters are hard to find.
My first good ham rx was version like that with a sig gen built in hammertone color. Hard to remove / install case.
Thanks for doing this walkaround, John. It's fun to see all the good junque available at the NEVEC Brookline events. I'm impressed with with your easy facility with names -- I was in the club (NEARC) for almost 30 years and would always stumble at connecting the names to the faces. I knew the people but remembering their names was always my downfall, to my sorrow. Such a good bunch!
Great junque it is! You need to come back and visit us, Mark. I try to give every vendor a little air time and most names I remember as a way to acknowledge them,.
New sub. Great video.
Seems like everyone knows you and likes you pretty well.
Great narration of the walkabout.
Where is this place. I guess Brooklyn area ??
Do they have other types of electronics?
How can you become a member or buy some of these items off these gents.
Thanks for the kind feedback! I'm a NEVEC member, director and handle much of the media side (photos, video, FB, youtube). I have gotten to know many of the members over the years. It's a great bunch of members, and the collective expertise in this club is truly impressive.

Nice stuff, I saw many collectible items, and low prices, but I guess all equipment goes from one collector to another and those prices are only symbolical.
There is some truth to that, but there were young buyers looking for vintage amplifiers, Hi-Fis, radios, records, etc that are taking them home to enjoy. Some of this is making a renaissance.
Hamfests frequently have this kind of stuff too available. If you want a real boat anchor, that's where you go.
Definitely! The ones held at MIT are quite popular. I have to make my way to one this year!
I want an analog clock, so i know when the power went off.
There's something to be said for the pleasing sound of a mechanical, windup clock.
To somebody in Australia the huge range of stuff on offer is beyond comprehension. Some price indications would have been the icing.
Sellers at our swap meets ask reasonable prices for their items, and many are willing to negotiate. The social part is also the icing on the cake.
Nice, pity I'm on the wrong side of the planet.
More reason to come visit the other side!
The bottom fell out of the a.m. radio mkt. a few decades ago.
Yes, AM content has weakened over the years, but there are some good solutions for AM radios: (1) bluetooth can be added or (2) find a low-power AM transmitter. Either option allows you stream music of your choice while enjoying the visual and aural experience of a tube radio.
