- In this video, I’m going to show you how the black water tank system/septic system works and how my boat is set up to pump out the black water tank and if you’re located on the coastal areas, or inland waters. It’s important to know all of the federal laws in state laws regarding discharge of your black water system. What I’m about to show you is going to explain the black water system on my boat and if you were planning on building or upgrading your black water system. This would give you some good ideas on what to do and how to do it the system that I have on my boat is the most complex since it is designed to either discharge on the ocean at three nautical miles offshore or simply hold in the holding tank until you have a marine pump out at a local marina. The system is very simple and could be easily built on your boat, so I hope this helps somebody with their black water system in a better understanding of how it works.
Looking to re-plumb my septic system. Is there a reason why you didn’t utilize one way check valves?
The toilet has a built in check valve fluids will only move one direction. I hope I understand you correctly, if not please let me know. Thanks for watching!!!

You said at the end it supply's raw water is that meaning outside water that the boat is sitting in?

What is that hose called from the start of the video?
Agriculture hose, made for chemical sprayer equipment on farms etc. can be found at Rural King, and mabey Tractor Supply or any farm store. Hope this helps!!!!
