I know this is one year old, but I am so happy I found this. I definitely plan on implementing exam week in our homeschool! This video is a great resource.
You've given me a ton of ideas for next year. I've been wanting to incorporate some "testing" but not like public school. You've given me the words I needed to think it though lol. Thank you!
Awesome! Glad to hear!!
Great video, thank you for explaining this in detail. Very helpful!
Thank you for this thorough exam overview! We’re doing year 1 SCM and I’ve been on the fence about doing exams but this helped me see how doable and fun it can be. I so appreciate your channel and have gleaned much wisdom and encouragement from you- thank you ☺️
Really enjoyed this! Thanks for sharing! It has given me many ideas. Looking forward to hearing about your next term!
Great Job, Abby!!! ❤
So helpful! Thank you for sharing!
We just finished yesterday with our first exam week!!!!
Have you discovered A Delectable Education yet? They have wonderful podcasts and such on CM topics!
Do you mind sharing what video you recently talked about being a CM homeschooler and which parts you don't agree with? I am just curious. We are a CM family as well, though also not purists. Do you 12 week terms? This will be my first year doing exam week as well. Thanks!
It is in my "Reluctant Reader" video, in regards to "twaddle".
I use the good and the beautiful. In a section we test the kids reading ability to assess growth. Just have the child read a passage time them and track incorrect words. Then redo the assessment again at a later time. My daughter noticed me timing her and started to lose it not reading words she knows and making up her own sentences. Any advice on how to kind of work through that test anxiety? Tried reassurance.
thanks
