Shinji Mikami must really love Clock Tower franchise. Not only there's a Clock Tower building in RE3, but also Nemesis is very similar to Scissorman (the death of Bobby Barrows in the first game was recreated in RE3). Not to mention the armors in RE4 from whom Ashley must run! And if you think that's not enough, his latest release has pretty much the same name of the game featured in this video! Very interesting!
If he does, I find it sad that he doesn't have confidence in what he loves enough to release new titles. (That's why we gave NightCry now, yeah? The dev left to make a spiritual successor?)

All I remember of this game is that I couldn't figure out how to play it. I kepts going back and forth between the same couple of rooms or so. I did play the following game though.
If only we could see what Bates/Sho really looked like! Would've been cool to see what he looks like ay! Like all you could see is a shadow of him in one of the artworks of the game. I saw the image on the wiki of Bates.
@@Purple_Sloth Supposedly. Apparently the Maxwell curse happens when twin girls are born to the family and they must be killed (for some reason?) but Alyssa and her twin were killed. If that was Bates, then it doesn't make sense why George attempted killing them as Bates would be a boy and thus not meet the criteria. Even in the "???" menu option, Bates' history is unknown, speculated to be an unrelated ghost seeking revenge on the Maxwells.
Maria Luke I don’t think the curse included twin girls, I thought it was just twins... though it’s been a while last time I played this, I really should go back to this. Ok, so I looked it up, and, you are right, they have to be twin girls. The only real possibility I found that could link them was from the CT wiki, saying “A possible explanation is that Alyssa's twin was indeed a boy and after dying of suffocation his soul entered his twin sister's body, making him techninacally female since he is now in his sister's body, this would fulfill the "twin girls" part of the curse, cursing the twins and making Maxwell's attempt to prevent the curse resulting in a sort of self-fulfilled prophecy” While I believe it’s a stretch, I would make more sense than just having some random shmoe ghost. However if it WAS just a random ghost, I would’ve really liked to hear it’s story. How did it die? What keeps it in this world? And if they made a side quest/ending where you actually put Bates to rest, like killing someone linked to his death, that would really help this game’s lack luster story. All that said, I think another possibility was that human wrote the story, was going to make Bates a girl, but decided to appeal to the zombie fans so they switched it because oh man, human entertainment was high when they made this game.
@@Purple_Sloth I also would have liked to know Bates' story if he was just some random ghost that hated the Maxwells. The most we know is he's rather proficient with guns. And I agree Human Entertainment must have been on something when making this game. (Though I do like the idea of a MC having a unstable ghost work with/through them.)
@@marialuke2116 I was working on my own sequel fan-game, and it was to include a chapter where Yu (Alyssa) discovers her past and truth about Sho (Sho). In my fan-fic Sho would be the ancient vengeful spirit of a man who once loved Saidou Rin (Alyssa's great ancestor), and her father 'Lord Saidou' was so against their relationship (as it brought shame to their noble family) that he murdered his own daughter Rin, along with her identical twin sister (whom he confused her with) and also captures Sho and tortures him til he dies. Before his death Sho swears that his spirit will always reside by his lover's side, but also swears that he will take revenge against the Saidou family (the Maxwells) for what they did to him and to his lover. And so from there on, every few generations, the Saidou twins were reincarnated and born, and one of them (the Rin reincarnation), would be possessed by Sho's spirit who would then attempt to murder their father. From there it became a tradition to bury twin girls upon birth as one of them would always be possessed by the ghost and there would be no way to determine which one was the possessed twin, so both buried together. This was the fan-fic I made for a game I was working on. I finished the first chapter and then my PC crashed and I lost all data :(
Arrrgh!! I STILL have nightmares over that haunted Samurai! The fact that it never ran while chasing you, just slowly sauntered, only made it that much creepier! 😳
You know, if they didn’t try to market this as a Clock Tower game I bet it would’ve garnered more appreciation. If you take the Clock Tower series out of the equation this could be its own thing.
Finally someone else said it. I don't see how this is a Clock Tower game either. The first 2 tell the story of Jennifer and that story had a closure. With this one and the one after (I've heard that one is a really good game btw) I just can't see the connection.

I'm going to kill you) and I made the struggle in the house longer than usual and activated all traps which are not shown in the video! This game is awesome! I wonder if they can do a remake - something like Resident Evil 2 became Resident Evil 2 HD!
Also the part where Alyssa sees that dead body and blood on the table and Stephanie hiding in the dark behind the door I still find creepy got to play this in my early twenty's and I loved it!!!!!!
Been trying to find this game for ever, I have such a feint memory for I was very young when it came out but the leg in toilet and tub scene hit me like a truck finally found it! I remember getting a game that was suppose to be thps3 but when I opened it had this in there and I remember being so confused as a kid about this but played it anyway.
im gonna be honest, this game was alot more fun to watch then i anticipated it honestly feels like a low poly corpse party 2 dead paitent the hospital section of this game feels VERY similar to the entire plot of chapter 1 in Corpe Party, The curse and the hospital, the zombies everywhere- they even whipped out a news reporter! honeslty i enjoyed both games.
I absolutely love the fact that these zombies can use the elevator and are very considerate to stop and wait for Alyssa to open the door and go through.

Maria Luke I don’t think the curse included twin girls, I thought it was just twins... though it’s been a while last time I played this, I really should go back to this.
Ok, so I looked it up, and, you are right, they have to be twin girls. The only real possibility I found that could link them was from the CT wiki, saying “A possible explanation is that Alyssa's twin was indeed a boy and after dying of suffocation his soul entered his twin sister's body, making him techninacally female since he is now in his sister's body, this would fulfill the "twin girls" part of the curse, cursing the twins and making Maxwell's attempt to prevent the curse resulting in a sort of self-fulfilled prophecy”
While I believe it’s a stretch, I would make more sense than just having some random shmoe ghost.
I finished the first chapter and then my PC crashed and I lost all data :(
I could ever barely get out of the house and never progressed beyond the hospital through all my years. Still a creepy game -- at the start, anyway.
"A human torso!!!!"
Arrrgh!! I STILL have nightmares over that haunted Samurai!
The fact that it never ran while chasing you, just slowly sauntered, only made it that much creepier! 😳
SaunturedÑ
I almost thought that yellow thing was supposed to be a blood censorship 😂
18:38 THIS IS SAN FRANCISCO! (Looks a lot like Japan, though)
San Fransokyo! (San Francisco & Tokyo)
Eljay B san fran tokyo
Because it is in Japan XD
@@eljayb991 if I can remember, I think there's an actual song with that title lmao
Idea: Take the fucking fire extinguisher with you... Is it wrong to think that?
Nope, not at all. It'll be much better to take it with you than to go back and forward for it.
I find it kinda funny how, in some parts, the first word in a sentence isn't even there when spoken verbally XD
The sound editor screwed up badly.
I have this game on my phone soooo keeping it and stuck again....i love this game as its own so happy to have it back its a great game for what it is i gurantee with today they can upgrade the graphics!!!! Still they look great for what they are i love alyssa hale this game has won my heart back!!!!!! Thank you roger l jackson and rebecca wink is great as alyssa!!!! Game is likeable for its own thing!!!!!
My sister and I we played this game years ago and I remember she asked me to circle around with Stephanie because she love the music while she chasing Alyssa hahaha :D So I picked up the phone every time when ringing (HA... I'm going to kill you) and I made the struggle in the house longer than usual and activated all traps which are not shown in the video! This game is awesome! I wonder if they can do a remake - something like Resident Evil 2 became Resident Evil 2 HD!
Me and my siblings too!! We loved the piano playing music!
That’s actually very sweet, lol.
Also the part where Alyssa sees that dead body and blood on the table and Stephanie hiding in the dark behind the door I still find creepy got to play this in my early twenty's and I loved it!!!!!!
You know, after the third time she went all the way back to whack a zombie with the fire extinguisher, Alyssa would just carry it with her, like, omg
Alyssa: How creepy
Armor: What did you say?
Been trying to find this game for ever, I have such a feint memory for I was very young when it came out but the leg in toilet and tub scene hit me like a truck finally found it! I remember getting a game that was suppose to be thps3 but when I opened it had this in there and I remember being so confused as a kid about this but played it anyway.
man, i love ur videos . some good old nostalgic horror games! thank you. .
18:38 I choked from laughter when she kicked her in the face

I couldn't finish it when I had ps1 ,thanks for it .
its really hard to like to like this game. but it has its charm
this game was soooo freakin spooky back in the day.
The newspaper guy from the hospital sounds a lot life Kaufmann from the first Silent Hill.
This game was so frustrating when i played it 15 years ago...was impossible for me without a walkthrough
great sequel to a great horror franchise. survival horror is always the best to do as your first video game projects.
I remember playing it back in the day in my PS1. Only played it during the morning though because it was scary af!
how could stephanie survive that knife stab by bates it looked liked it went all the way through her shoulder
Ghosts.
im gonna be honest, this game was alot more fun to watch then i anticipated it honestly feels like a low poly corpse party 2 dead paitent the hospital section of this game feels VERY similar to the entire plot of chapter 1 in Corpe Party, The curse and the hospital, the zombies everywhere- they even whipped out a news reporter! honeslty i enjoyed both games.
