VictorTooms1 is bang on the money, I was there that night, stood about 5 feet away from them when they were mixing this set, they were definitely using vinyl. There were no CDJ's at raves back then, they weren't the standard at the time, only Tekky 1210's....

I spent my whole teen years wishing for some technic 1210's. What an era to be of an age to experience it firsthand... Thank you for the upload! I remember going to this night years ago, I'm on the official video a few times throughout the night. This set & Mark Eg were the stand out ones of the night for me.

this is vinyl they didnt use them then, dougal was one of the first to use cdj and that didnt happen until mid 99 and i would put money on that because he used his own, and if you have it up loud enough you can hear the distortion on it and thats not from the tape thats the noise you get from all old vinyl sets, dont you remember when you got to many people on the stage and you got jumpy jumpy needles

I'm guessing there not using 1210's must be CD? hence the high range in the sound
