Jimmy and Francis are two of the smartest characters in this movie. John Wick is working again? Be polite, give him what he wants, and stay out of his way. Thanks for the reaction.
13:28 It’s not that he Can’t be arrested as much as Jimmy wasn’t WILLING to try and arrest the infamous John Wick a.k.a. Babba Yagga, can you blame him? 😂
@@TheCrayonMaster before, but it’s about the “Origins” of the Continental, how it got started. I’m sure Winston wasn’t the first Manager, nor Charon the First concierge, so they can still do it.
34:52 One thing alot of people and reviewers miss, the scene at the end where John Wick is walking away with the pit bull puppy, it was the same location where his wife had collapsed. I have a theory on that… #1 his wife was a Veterinarian or a Veterinary Assistant at a clinic, #2 He had picked her up from her work and was walking home (or to the car) when she collapsed, and that explains #3 Arranging for Daisy, #4 Why he crashed there in the beginning of the movie and #5 how he knew the clinic was there to patch himself up.
I love this entire franchise but I gotta say my favorite sequence is the one in the red circle where john wick sneaks in, takes care of a bunch of baddies, and theon runs away from him in a towel with sheer panic on his face. Alfie Allen does a fabulous job, derpiest villain ever, give that man more villain roles
And can we take a minute to appreciate how beautiful the choreography, cinematography and colour palate are?! Also Kill Them All John, Kill Them All :)
Attention to detail at 6:53 ....you can see Keanu's carotid pumping. Probably he did some hard exercise before that scene to intentionally cause that effect, to show his anger.
SPOILER What remains of the Parisian underworld is going to have some words with the remainder of the gang that brought the dragon's breath rounds to kill Wick, but lost control over their weapons...
Keni is really that good with the guns he uses in the movies he spent somewhere around 4k hrs training with them and the dog john takes at the end is actually kenu's real dog
I noticed the pitch meeting came out after the next 2 movies did, I'm apprehensive about it inadvertently spoiling the next 2 movies. Do you know if it has any spoilers of 2 and 3?
I'd give anything for there to be an Open World John Wick themed game called "Baba Yaga." Picture it, your character being trained to be the next Baba Yaga and you get involved with some of John's adventures along the way.
I hate the english version for this...Baba Yaga is a witch in russian myths, not the boogeyman, which would be Babay, which is correctly used in some languages... He at least knew of the witch^^
Be sure to watch the series. You have no idea the trip you'll be taking with this series. Every next episode is better than the one before it. As we say here in Texas; Y'all be safe.
I am happy to finally see a reactor, that knows of the witch^^ The english version has Baba Yaga, while in some other languages, they use the correct Babay, which actually means boogeyman...If you got the option, check the introduction scene between Viggo and Josef, as well as where Viggo sings before the attack at Johns house in german, which is one of the languages with the correct nickname...
I will take credit for this, but i was somewhere between remembering Scarlet Witch as Baba Yaga in Marvel's "What If" and getting confused about the word "Bruja" lol But I'll take it
a) they killed off Daisy (BTS fact one of the actors involved in her death scene bonded with the doggo immediately and took them home once shooting was over) to show that while John wasn't a good guy, at all, he had a moral line he doesn't cross and these guys, who killed off Daisy, are worse than he is because they have no morals. b) this new boy, named Dog, survives the entire franchise so far.
25:48- You know, I've watched dozens of people react to this movie, and I think you're the only one to remark on the black SUVs! Here's a little-known bit of real-life lore that's crept into movies. In New York City, any cab for public hire has to be painted yellow, and any privately hired transport vehicle has to be painted black. This system of marking for-hire cabs dates back to the 19th century in Paris, and cities in the US adopted it. It hasn't stayed in use in most places (where I live, there's a cab company that uses red cars, for instance) but it's still the law in New York City.
Not a vet here, but i believe it is cats that are lactose intolerant. Dogs vary. Some require a strict diet while others can eat almost anything except chocolate, grapes/raisins, and onions.
It’s dogs and cats both. When they are puppies and kittens they can digest milk but as they age they produce less and less lactase (enzyme that breaks down lactose) and it becomes more difficult to digest dairy products. Cats seem to have more issues related to milk but it could be that we just have more information on how lactose affects cats as people tend to feed cats milk more often than dogs.
You will love the next 3 movies, you never really get a movie that goes backwards as some sequels tend to do, it only gets better as it goes. In my opinion John Wick 4 is a masterpiece of cinema. Also the movie's don't really time jump all that much, they all flow film to film right where you left off.
There isn't a John Wick video game, but the first two movies basically go by like Hitman; the third movie is like Modern Warfare; and the fourth movie is like Doom Eternal. Wick could theoretically get arrested, but this brings up two issues--first, what SWAT team is going to even try to take him down. Second, why would they take the leading cause of death for organized criminals off the street? He doesn't kill civilians, and his professional activities basically made him the Punisher with some extra steps. This series only gets better, and the budgets increase, letting them do even more insane stuff. Wick isn't exactly known for exposition though, and most of the story is shown, not detailed. For perspective, the 4th movie has a 1:2 John Wick kills to words spoken ratio.
I don't know if I have a single favorite Keanu movie. I think it depends on my mood. I really like John Wick, but for whatever reason I still haven't watched the other John Wick movies. The movies which are up there as favorites are Speed and Constantine (really hoping that they're actually doing a second one after all these years). And some not so well know movies I feel like: The Gift (although he's not the main character), The Devil's Advocate and Johnny Mnemonic.
