Her hand skills are insane, but I also love the casual, almost lazy movement around the court lol... that Su-wei stroll is iconic! But she still gets to a lot of balls.
I swear she uses like 10% of the energy output that her competitors do. Plays smart, uses the ENTIRE court, conserve energy, make the other players crazy with those drop shots hahah yessss. So refreshing to see.
She's been in all 4 doubles finals she's entered in with Strycova (Brisbane, AO, Dubai, Doha), winning 3 and ending runner-up in Australian Open. Her doubles shots are just as great as her singles.
Those slice winners are like something from an old showreel from the 70s and 80s. I bet Billie Jean King and Navratilova were purring over those shots. Beautiful.
I have a feeling she took a lot of inspiration from table tennis, the way she tries to spin the ball away from the players. So refreshing and fun to watch!
Wei is known for her touch shots. But she can also absorb power, rally with big hitters, and even hit very hard winners. The difference between her and so many other players is that she really moderates her energy output and uses unorthodox form to hide shots. She's a real enigma on the court.
You know what it is? the motion she uses for drop shots and groundstrokes are the INTERCHANGEABLE. Other players make a big distinct motion to prepare for slices, drop shots etc, while she is just casually standing there waiting for the ball. Look at the moment before she hits the balls. Until she actually hits it, you would not be able to tell anything.
I agree if she is not the smartest, then she is is definitely among the top three smartest women tennis players. I think her lack of endurance and fire power is just such a bummer
I think she's already earned that. Six doubles slams with FOUR DIFFERENT partners. Just checked and she's also spent nearly a year at the number 1 doubles spot in the rankings
wide variety of shots selections, drop spinning shots, sharp angles, long or short, long rallies (wide and far), perfect corner placements, easy peachy.
I think Hsieh is playing the wrong era of tennis, if she played in the 90's prior to power hitting dominance. With that great skill and intelligent game I think she could go further in a tournament or at least reached a grandslam final.
please do i love watching her play and the last compilation someone made of her was way back in 2017. also how do you get the footage for all of these videos?

Thank you! There's a guy below in the comments who was talking about how he hates this brand of tennis and how it's very Dustin Brown (who I also love) and honestly I wish more players went for S&V style tennis than the one-dimensional baseline style where they basically just hit hard and lack creativity (Ostapenko, comes to mind, she hates playing with Hsieh Se Wei lol).
Too bad she hasn't won a singles match this season yet. I've noticed that she's just trying to hit with the other girls and not playing her game. She needs her old coach back, not having just her boyfriend as her coach. He was a real estate agent, he knows nothing about tennis.
Can somebody please address the fact that 75% of palettes from any of these major designers have shades that look exactly the same on mid-tone to dark skin! I have invested hundreds of dollars on beautiful palettes Half of the shades look exactly the same on my skin! Let alone having to borrow outside of another palette to deepen the shade and look. Help us!
Not a fan. This brand of tennis is on the same level as Dustin Brown. Endless trickshots and spins could only get one so far. At the same time she looks like she's about to keel over from undereating.
I know it looks like she's really skinny, but she does eat quite a bit. When she beat halep in the third round of Wimbledon and started getting more press attention she divulged that she loves to eat the food of wherever she's at (especially junk food) and even mentioned taking her nephew around town to eat good food in London. Maybe it's good genes 😅
@Andrew Brent "She is slender" and looking gorgeous. If she agrees to wear stiletto heels, she can fill in at any catwalk at the Parisian Fall-2020 fashion shows. And to play in the magical tennis-badminton-pingpong style, and keep us entertained - well, that's just a bonus.
I disagree. I love this brand of tennis. A lot of current tennis is so one dimensional. They hit for power only and there's not much creativity. If she were faster and had a stronger return and serve, she'd be unstoppable. I wish more players would go for more serve-and-volley style tennis.
Her hand skills are insane, but I also love the casual, almost lazy movement around the court lol... that Su-wei stroll is iconic! But she still gets to a lot of balls.
I love that she plays with her little brother and little sister whenever she can.
I swear she uses like 10% of the energy output that her competitors do. Plays smart, uses the ENTIRE court, conserve energy, make the other players crazy with those drop shots hahah yessss. So refreshing to see.
Hsieh is a brilliant athlete. She is so delightful to watch. It's sad that she doesn't have sponsors.
She actually doesn't have sponsors by choice. She's said, "I want to wear what I want." The most Hsieh Su-Wei answer possible. Iconic
She's been in all 4 doubles finals she's entered in with Strycova (Brisbane, AO, Dubai, Doha), winning 3 and ending runner-up in Australian Open. Her doubles shots are just as great as her singles.
She also won wimbledon and indian wells with her last year!
And now she won both women’s doubles and mixed doubles in the Australian Open!!
If there’s a will, there’s a Hsieh Su-Way.
Tennis artistry at its finest - Hsieh Su-Wei! Always a pleasure to watch!❤
Those slice winners are like something from an old showreel from the 70s and 80s. I bet Billie Jean King and Navratilova were purring over those shots. Beautiful.
It's the nth time I've watch these Hsieh videos, still made me smile!
Glad you included her shots from her doubles matches as well. Hopefully we'll see more of her magic this season!
Opponent: *attempts a drop shot*
Hsieh: How dare you!
Since lockdown I have only watched two tennis players on UA-cam Hsieh and Martina Hingis....nothing more needs to be said. Great upload 👏🏾👏🏾
Same! 👏🏼👏🏼 Love watching them!
yup, for sure!!
I have a feeling she took a lot of inspiration from table tennis, the way she tries to spin the ball away from the players. So refreshing and fun to watch!
Yes. I was going to say the same thing. The techniques are the same.

First two minutes literally her destroying GS Champs 😂Wozniacki, Kenin, Osaka, Muguruza, Halep🤷🏼♀️
And also Ostapenko! 😂
whether you watch women's tennis or not... you've got to watch at least one of her matches
I agree if she is not the smartest, then she is is definitely among the top three smartest women tennis players. I think her lack of endurance and fire power is just such a bummer
Hey most tennis fans watch women's tennis as well as men's surely??
@@davidsanderson5918 nope!! most people watch exclusively mens
l hope that she eventually becomes a legend in whole tennies history.
I think she's already earned that. Six doubles slams with FOUR DIFFERENT partners. Just checked and she's also spent nearly a year at the number 1 doubles spot in the rankings
Lovely backhand.... I like it Hsieh. ❤👍👍
2:28 is literally the best thing i’ve ever seen
my fav player!!! I'm eager to watch part 3 :)
I hope she gets stronger - her shot selection makes other professionals look like amateurs
Yeah, She's not the biggest or strongest, but she is tricky and very smart.
QUESTION ... hsieh su-wey, change hands when wielding the racket for your forehand and backhand shots?
Another good thing one of the commenters said on the video: it just looks like she has so much fun!
11:48 *A MASTERPIECE!*
It's like trying to beat a wall. A wall with bumps, divots, angles and curves. You never know where the ball is gonna go.
7:04 i can't believe it 👽
wide variety of shots selections, drop spinning shots, sharp angles, long or short, long rallies (wide and far), perfect corner placements, easy peachy.
Elle a des mains extraordinaires, une nonchalence belle à voir et rafraîchissante pour le tennis. Elle semble pourtant très chétive.
Typically the kind of shot I would love to be able to hit. Brain and strategy is something, but you also need great technique.
I think Hsieh is playing the wrong era of tennis, if she played in the 90's prior to power hitting dominance. With that great skill and intelligent game I think she could go further in a tournament or at least reached a grandslam final.
can you do these types of highlights but for monica niculescu?
I love Monica Niculescu, her slice forehand winners always baffles me, it's so interesting. If I have enough footage I can maybe make one.
please do i love watching her play and the last compilation someone made of her was way back in 2017. also how do you get the footage for all of these videos?
At 12:16 Flipkens runs towards the net waiting the drop/smash shot. Nobody else does that ever (although this is a common tactic).
She uses brain, not just power

With her smart play and touch she is a nightmare to the usual screeching baseline bots

Taiwan #1!
Imagine if she had power...she would terrorize.
anyone know who the players are in the second to last match? MCL/ KAT and C. HSI
Perfect example of organized chaos!
whats the Name of the Song which he use at the end ?
Womens fabrice santoro
11:58 It's so funny~😊!
드롭볼 오는 걸 어떻게 저렇게 깎아치는 거지? 대단하네...
those lob shots ???? right on the money !!!!! oppos just gave up.....
She would have been best in the world if she was playing in the 80s and 90s when the power game was not so influential
you can not beat her by playing everything through the middle
柔弱勝剛強
Amazing woman player.
drop shot from hell 🤣

The girl name Hon is cute lol

12:54 was out...
PolynAzn ya your right
both her forehands and backhands are 2 handed
I think Gracheva keeps running
she can run

I wonder if she can beat men ATP too?
鬼之切球
謝:為什麼我發球不練強一點?一兩拍就死不好玩,我有更有趣的玩法。
lol the title is too funny
I love her black socks
A magician that can’t fool anyone because she doesn’t win...lol
But everytime when i bet on her she plays like her look like..
You played like your face right?
@@Nopebrbra Yes she did
ugly but effective.
Easily my least favourite tennis player
Why? Not criticizing you in anyway, but why you dislike her so much?
WhyOfCourseNot probably lost money on a bet
@oneviwatara Lmao that's probably true
