It helps to stay in a particular platform or brand. I have had several Fox platform cars over the years and as a result I have accumulated a large amount of parts that are common between the different models. Often when I need a part, I just shop my own inventory.
That's a great point. However my target audience is the person like me from 6 years ago who is getting to do this for the first time. That said having a fox for my first one, I was able to take advantage of people like you who were selling used performance parts on Marketplace. Though I didn't articulate it super well, this also falls in the category of "junkyard availability"
@@Str8sixfan I get that, but 1st timers aren't the only ones trying to keep a budget. Your point is valid though. I have avoided some pretty cool project cars because of the parts availability issue. '1 year' body styles or mechanical parts availability type things. That stuff can stop a project in it's tracks.
