I would love to see a video behind the scenes where you show how you build up your table for a battle (balanced LoS blockers), how you store your terrain, how you clean up the table after a match and so on ^^

Great batrep! But at 56:45 I know Lysander wants to be a hero, but the Miasma of Pestilence (Sp?) was still in effect so he would have missed twice.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw those 2's...
Worse than thst, did DtTFE ever come up? How many of them ten hit by Morty were 6's, could not see as they were behind the scenery

1:28:45 A Unit that Charged can still be chosen in the Fight Phase, despite it not having enemies within 1". They then Pile In, followed by fighting if any targets of their Charge remain, continued by Consolidate, no matter was there or was there not anything for them to fight in this Fight Phase. So Terminators and Lieutenant should have had 6" move right here.

Great game. In my opinion, Aaron should've saved that armor save reroll CP for the detonation reroll with Mortarion. Mortarion was probably going to die anyway, but raising your chances to explode would have been more worth it, imo. Great content and beautiful armies, as always!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one the first shooting ohase you brought down mortarions wounds to 7. I'm assuming he's a character. How are you able to target him with the flyer if he isnt the closest unit?
Characters above 10 wounds don't get protected by the characters rule.
However mortarion can tank for other characters.
Normally if there are only characters left you can target any you choose.
But characters above 10 can protect characters below 10 wounds.

Great Batrep! This was a lot of fun to watch. These armies were pretty balanced, it was good to not see Raven Guard for no reason and a Death Guard army that wasn't mixed with Nurgle Daemons. Can't wait for the next Batrep!
PS- Scorpion, you may want to charge your Rhinos next time. They could have tied up some poxwalkers/absorbed some overwatch for your tac marines!

The combat narrative was a little rough for the I.F. on this one. There is a little strategic schizm in the relationship between "turtling" on the far left flank, & spreading units across the field on all objectives. If your offense is in conflict with your defense, it will manifest in a tactical virus that compromises optimal decision making from turn to turn. And that gives the Death Guard the opportunity to capitalize, by focusing on an aggressive counter-insurgency stratagem; their ploy is single minded and easier to maintain. Overall, a dynamic battle that also serves as a warning against trying to bite off more than one can chew. Always a pleasure to watch

Only thing I was wondering was did you have the cp left to let the centurian devastators auspex scan the lord of contagian?
Yeah was great matchup. Yes I either forgot about that strat...would have been very helpful...or I'd run out of CPs by then. Can't remember:)
Why was there now overwatch for the devastators and the pox-walker charge
Those Centurions seeing the Poxwalkers was sketchy. Models can see through their OWN unit but nor other units, even friendly other units.
Maybe the terminator was there because of wobbly model syndrome so they didnt count it for los? That'd be my guess.
@@R3v1091 even without the Terminator there, it still looks unrealistic. Underslung and all.

Looks like the old Hero Quest skull markers to my eye.
I know they used those makers in the old Battle Masters Warhammer game. The game with the huge soft plastic terrain board.
The Centurions firing at the Pox, shouldn't of happened (imo). Even if the Terminator wasn't there (wobbly model syndrome?), let alone stooping down to see line of sight, it just looked wrong. The terrain looks so built up and the Centurions are low and underslung. Am I missing something?
We both checked LOS and in agreement so all ok:)
Great game, lucky strike on Morty with the 2nd attack from Lysander, courage for the brave indeed! i would have fallen out of combat from Morty and shot him with all those Lac-cannons. but well done.

Just me, but I would have fired everything in range, on the Moritarian Character in the 1st Turn and not split any fire.
11:20 - Death Guard turn 1 - They pour fire in to the reactor below the IF lascannon team. The resulting explosion of which decimates Dorn's forces!! :D
Knew this was a DG win right after seeing the lists. Not even remotely fair, the Fists army was seriously underpowered.
I'm guessing that you forgot death to the false emperor.... Morty would have made a fair few more attacks.

Bro, you gotta include some Primaris. They are just so good and their lore is too cool. I use both in my fists army. There's no shame in it ;) the Imperium is changing, we gotta change with it

Wow, no offense, but that was some ridiculously bad strategic play. You used ~70% of your army to capture and hold 1 of 3 objectives. Of that were the middle objective you might have been okay, but since it was the one furthest from the others your footsluggers would never reach the others in time.
Was obvious from the start that your token force at the middle and right objective would get overrun and the rest of your army would be to late...
It almost worked:)
