I never got into social media past UA-cam and Discord, and I think it's been a really good think for me.

Most interesting thing that I found in this video was when Nikki said that "Anyone can publish their own theory, own diet, own nutrition advice whether they actually know about the topic or not, meaning that anyone can portray themselves as an expert of that topic, which could lead to some consequences."

Niki Bezzant's discusses the impact that social media has on our perceptions of food and health. Bezzant, a food writer and commentator, highlights how social media platforms are often used to promote particularly unhealthy eating habits and lifestyle choices, ultimately leading to negative health consequences for individuals and ultimately our society as a whole.
Bezzant addresses the impact of social media and its ability to create unrealistic expectations about food and health. By pointing out that social media uses images of perfect bodies and perfect meals, creating an unrealistic version of what health should look like. This can lead to individuals feeling unrealistic pressure to conform to difficult ideals, often leading to a negative effect on their physical and mental health. As Bezzant notes, "Social media can be a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it can inspire us to lead healthier lives, but on the other hand, it can also be a source of anxiety and self-doubt."
To look at this topic with an ethical viewpoint, one ethical principle that is relevant to this issue is autonomy. This is the right of individuals to make their own decisions about their health and well-being. Social media's flies in the face of this at times by it’s heavy influence that can undermine this principle by creating a culture of conformity, where individuals feel pressure to follow the latest fad diet or fitness trend. This can cause individuals to make decisions that are not in their best interests, but are instead just in unity with the crowd. As Bezzant notes, "It's important for us to remember that we are all unique individuals with our own needs and preferences when it comes to food and health."
Bezzant also discusses the big issue of food misinformation on social media. She notes that there is so much conflicting information online. Like about what foods are healthy and what foods are not, and that this can be confusing for consumers because it is so contradictory sometimes. Lets look at this through the lens of the ethical principle of beneficence, which refers to the obligation to do good and prevent harm. In this case, it is the responsibility of social media platforms to ensure that the information they are promoting about food and health is going not going to hurt its viewers. One way to do this is to have focused on accurate and evidence-based information. This is particularly important when it comes to vulnerable populations, such as children and individuals with eating disorders, who are already at risk and so are more susceptible to the negative effects of food misinformation.
Emphasizing the importance of critical thinking when it comes to social media and health is an important component from this video. She encourages individuals to question the information they see on social media, and to seek out and develop reliable sources of information for making decisions about their health. We are all responsible for taking control of our own health and well-being, and can use social media as a tool rather than using it to tell us what to do.
Overall I think Bezzant's talk provides a thoughtful and thought-provoking analysis of the impact that social media has on our perceptions of food and health. She gives us good insights that are supported by a range of sources, including academic research, news articles, and personal anecdotes, which lend credibility to her argument. We looked at all this with regards to some ethical principles of autonomy and beneficence, that coincide with how Bezzant underscores the importance of responsible social media use, both for individuals and for society as a whole.

From this video, I learned that through social media software, we can learn about food and health information, which reflects the efficient dissemination speed of social media. Secondly, it tells us that social media also has shortcomings and fraudulent behaviors. Go astray, have your own cognition, and don't be too blind to trust others.

In my opinion, in this video it shows that not everything that we see in social media is real and facts. Especially about food, life and health. Most influencer share their post about how they take care their health and what food that they eat to maintain a good life. But, we can't assume that everything about it is correct. Maybe they get paid for it and maybe it's how their life look like. Most important thing is that we can't follow everything in social media because we are the only one know about how ourselves work and what is the most suitable healthy food and life we should have. We are the one who create our diet plan, exercise plan and nutrition plan. Second thing is that not everyone is an expert. Like what Nikki said that "Anyone can publish their own theory, own diet, own nutrition advice whether they actually know about the topic or not, meaning that anyone can portray themselves as an expert of that topic, which could lead to some consequences." It shows that we need to be careful with people in social media because we don't know either they are real or fraud.

Social media has become an integral part of modern life. From this video, Nikki Bezzant has shared about the diet and nutrition has the positive, negative, and curious messages we're receiving through social media and how they're affecting our health. Just because someone is famous in like they have more followers in Instagram, Facebook etc we shouldn't follow their diet and healthy plans as they sometimes may promote for the sponsorship or for the fame. At the worst, this can be harmful, since it can lead to people eating nutritionally deficient diets and even disordered eating.

With the rapid development of mobile Internet, social media has a great impact on our lives. The rapid development of social media makes the public be impacted by a large amount of information every day. Most social platforms, without exception, experience the phenomenon of users fleeing one after another after experiencing the boom. The significance of social media not only affects the daily life of the public, but also finds a new way for content communication. At a time when traffic and customer acquisition costs are getting higher and higher, content entrepreneurs can carry and expand users' existing interpersonal networks through social media, thereby reducing costs. After all, compared with other content transmission methods, social media is faster, wider and more efficient.

I'm so interested in this topic. From this video, we realize that through social media everyone can share their tips even though they didn't even have any knowledge about it. So, we as a user need to be careful with any information that we see on social media and make research before following any tips that we found especially if they involve our health.
Besides, social media make other people insecure and feel that their lifestyle is not perfect when some influencer shares their lifestyle and diet life. They feel like they need to follow those influencer ways of the diet even though it is not suitable for them.
Moreover, the speaker said to unfollow a person that gives a negative vibe to your life and start to follow the right influencer and share stuff that u love.
In conclusion, social media is not real. Not everyone has a perfect life. Just be yourself and understand your own personality. Not all healthy diets life is expensive. Regular food also can be a healthy food to eat.
