This cover is glorious, it lets her voice absolutely shine. Thanks to Toby for asking AJ to sing this reinvented cover of his song for his Piano Diaries album. Toby is quoted saying, “Working with Angelina has been nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to channel profound emotion through her voice adds a whole new depth to the song.” They are also working on other songs for AJ. This will be huge for her. After 16 years of practice Angelina is all grown up and has now arrived.

You freeze ... endlessly listening to her wonderful voice and admiring her fantastic musical sensitivity, even the simplest song that passes through her hands becomes fantastic. She is simply unique and with a wonderful melodic perception. This interpretation (isn't a cover for me) is curative for the your soul and the soft background accompaniment of the piano and cello give her a beautiful silky backdrop, until that wonderful whispered final phrase "... but you are just a boy".💛🧡❤

Toby Gad is a multi Grammy award winning songwriter and producer. He has worked with many of the biggest superstars in the music industry producing award-winning hits. He is currently in process of producing an album of his top eight songs called Piano Diaries. He invited Angelina to perform this song with him at piano, which was originally made famous by Beyoncé in 2008, and has received over 600 million views. Most believe this version is much more touching and emotional, and Angelina has made it hers. Move over Beyoncé! Toby and Angelina are working on some original music coming in the next few months, possibly as an album. He is very influential in the industry and this undoubtedly is a huge break for Angelina.

Respect to Beyonce for her cover of this song, quite nicely done but this right here is the next level of vocal beauty...there is a reason why Toby Gad chose Angelina for the re-makes of his songs on the Piano Diaries. She performed this with Toby at the London Palladium a week ago or so...stunning as always. He is a multi Grammy winning songwriter/musician/producer and they are writing songs together. Next is an original by the two of them called "Bad Valentine" coming out soon as well as Angelina's new Album we all hope. A cover only in the sense that what Beyoncé made was a cover of the song written by BC Jean and Toby Gad, originally performed by Jean in 2008. Beyoncé's cover was that same year.
In this video the pianist is Toby Gad .. the Piano Diaries are a celebration of his hit songs. He invited Angelina to England with him to perform .. this is the fourth version I have heard. I am not sure if it is really a cover when a singer is standing next to the composer as they jam to create a different version of the song

Hey Jackson, like another of her contemporaries, you know me, so you know who I mean, Angelina inhabits the song then sings the song how it wants to be sung. Toby Gad was one of the writers of this song and pitched it to Beyonce. The Piano Diaries is the 15th anniversary of Toby's musical journey. As he said, 'he had his songs sung by the best in the business then, that includes John Legend who sang Toby's 'All Of Me', and now all these years later he is having them re-imagined by the best voices yet to be discovered'. Toby and Angelina are also working on several songs together. One of those, 'Bad Valentine' Angelina sang at a small concert of Toby's. I'll give you the link.
