I'm surprised that we did this so quickly! Not long ago we decided to give this song a try. Originally Jordi wrote this song in 2011. He made this amazing instrumental so quickly and I really, really like it. We both put our hearts and souls into this piece. And we deeply hope you like this song. Hello everyone!! So, Lullaby From a Distant Land... a song I composed back in early 2011. But with Merry as Forest Elves, we completely re-invented it! Myself and Merry put a lot of work into making this just right as a thank you to all of our listeners for being so kind and supportive of us! We love you ^_^

Tolkien took an interest in the Finnish mythology of the Kalevala, then became acquainted with the Finnish language, which he found to provide an aesthetically pleasing inspiration for his High-elven language. As a finnish this is pretty simple to sing :)

I suppose it makes sense if you imagine it’s elves from outside the forest singing in their Quenyan form about their distant cousins.
Well, Forest Elves is the name of our little project that reaches 10 years today :) we're not role playing or anything, and we also make lots of different music in many different languages, inspired by many different things. The name was born from our mutual love of fantasy and nature, and the style of music we loved that connected us together. Thanks for stopping by!
