I also think it’s always giving 100% in my relationship with someone and recognizing my 100% looks different on the daily. I extend grace to myself and others in how we show up as best as I can.
Even with the combined efforts of man and wife, marriage never adds up to 100 percent. Its always less because God reminds us just how limited we are even at our best. If we can attain 80-90 percent and then ask God to give us grace to beat with one another in the remaining 10 percent, then we can say we hbe done our very best.
How Married Are you in Spanish doesn’t have a direct translation because in the Spanish grammar it would not make sense. Because “how married are you” talks about the little sacrifices and things you do for each other that you wouldn’t do otherwise if you weren’t married. I think a correct translation would be “cual fue tu obra de acción que te propone como casado?” However the slang phrase or “direct” translation would be “Que tan Casado estas?” I hope this helps! Spanish speaker here and i love all your podcasts I never miss them. Been listening for a few months since I found y’all. This is an important topic I’m currently starting conversation with my partner! Thank y’all for sharing your life! And Ivette PMS symptoms are truly a thing and a very annoying experience for ourselves and our partners. I’ve had that acknowledgment with my partner as well! 😅😅
We'll never be perfectly anything this side of eternity... keep striving...but in the process love abundantly, laugh till you pee your pants, live with wisdom and no regrets 👏🏽👏🏽

We are always whole and always healing. There is no end to our healing and if I do no other “work” on myself I am still whole, however if I want more or different out of life then I am okay with moving towards that also.
"Negative relationship with rest." Trauma Trigger!!!! So no lie, my Mom was just here visiting- I'm pregnant, we've just moved, and I caught a terrible cold. We have eight kids, a whole bunch of unpacking, and my husband's work hours are off the chain right now, so he's not here to help. I laid down on the couch to rest and it was like I flashed back to my twelve year old self!!! She caught this attitude that had me feeling like how dare I lay down with everything that's going on. I'm sick!!! For real sick!!! I'm weak, but I got up- because the things all have to get done, and she came out for what was supposed to be vacation. I'm realizing just recently that this is how I was brought up. Regardless of how I feel- if there are things to be done rest can wait. At home, with sports, at the job when I was working-- it was always like that! Because people have always relied on me, and when I do things I make them seem easy. So much so, that others believe that they can do all of the things too, and just as easily! When they find out that they can't though- it's my problem and not theirs. So to present day, every time I sit or lay down I feel horrible. And at the end of the day, I'm stuck reflecting on all of the things I could have gotten done had I just not taken that break. Even when I'm listening to your podcast- I'm normally working on something. I say all of this knowing how exhausted I am while still having so much on my to do list. I don't think I've had a full day to myself in quite some time. Thank you for making me realize- it's time to plan for one!!!
😂😂😂😂 oh Glen your HMAY stories are so funny. This was a good episode and really important to know about marriage. Thanks for your vulnerability with sharing. Appreciate you all!
This was a great episode for me! I feel the same way as Glen does when it comes to resting. Because I feel like I’m being lazy if I’m just sitting or taking a small nap. What are tips to help me grow to a positive relationship with rest?
🤣Ya'll aren't going to believe this...but at work coworkers called me "the pin". I was told honesty was the reason I was given that name. I was shocked when I heard it, but I guess it's better than the alternative 🤷🏾♀. Glad to know there are fellow bubble poppers out here in these streets! 😃
Glen is a smart worker. Yvette, you’re a hardworker. 😅 He is trying to help you see how you can become less overwhelmed.
I love the way you all allow each other to express your thoughts, your relationship seems SAFE. Love seeing this as a single.
“Take the bus” 🤣🤣
Different seasons in marriage definitely changes the %.

Glen doesn't have to think in the present because he can trust you have it
Deffo check with Jordan but I think how married are you in Spanish would be ¿Qué tan casado/a eres?
