    Could I ask what the insurance payment is that you are paying? Like is it just regular insurance for your car (Full comp) or a specific insurance for delivery drivers? I am keen to do this kind of work between my regular job. Loving the videos mate!

      Thanks bud! It’s hire and reward insurance for couriers - it covers parcel and food delivery 24/7 and I pay it monthly, it’s about £150 a month, but also includes social domestic pleasure too, which used to cost me £60 a month anyway so I class my business expense for insurance as £90 a month (or 50p an hour, as I do roughly 45hrs a week). I’m with Zego, others use Inshur or normal insurance providers (they tend to be more pricey though). Thanks for the kind words!

    Get yourself a couple of IKEA bags to save time having to go back and forth to the car, especially if you have to park away from drops

      Top shout, been meaning to get something like that and an IKEA bag or two should do the trick!

    Is this just dry groceries? Cant be ideal or good for quality if its not kept chilled or frozen. It makes me wonder about the customers who order via amazon instead of the inhouse option. Plus maybe 5/10% more in surcharge, oh well their loss your gain.

    29 bags is the normal at our morrisons plus we have bridge and tunnel tolls .. we get £26.50 per 1.5 hr block and mileage between 20 to 50 miles ..its getting beyond a joke mate.

      That’s nasty - if it wasn’t for the occasional easy routes and the times when you don’t get a route at all, I wouldn’t even bother with them. Luckily those occasions bump up my average pay to even out the awful 50+ mile routes.

    So hold on a sec here - I've been watching your channel a few days. So, you break it down to an hourly rate which helps but how can you complain about the number of packages? Surely, that's (forgive the pun) part and parcel of it, excepting the fact they are small parcels and don't require a two man lift? I'm not slating you really but at the end of the day, it's just a few more packages? I've been watching because I'm considering doing the same kinda thing as you are - not full time - but to keep me ticking over.

    Really enjoyed it my man, can I also ask how far you're located from the Morrisons? I recently signed up and the nearest one for me is 10miles away, so not too sure if it'll be worth the hassle

    • @autohustles
      @autohustles  Рік тому

      Cheers mate! I live less than a mile from this Morrisons, so it’s ideal for me. I’m about 30 miles from my nearest Logistics depo though which is annoying, so I only do logistics if I see a block with a big pay boost.

    Can you explain the insurance payment? Is that Amazon related or car related?

    • @autohustles
      @autohustles  Рік тому +1

      I pay monthly for my courier insurance and with the hours I work, it works out to around 50p per hour for me. It’s a fixed monthly amount so the more hours I work the cheaper it is per hour. It’s not an exact calculation as my hours vary month to month but on average, it works out to that 50p an hour.

    Just found your channel, extremely glad I did, have watched all of your videos in one day! Keep up the content mate, you have inspired me to get out and delivering now too, can I ask what your insurance is like? I have been quoted £177 for the month which seems mad!

    • @autohustles
      @autohustles  Рік тому

      Thanks mate! Appreciate the support 🙌🏻 as for insurance, my Zego monthly is £154 so not too far off yours - it’s expensive but covers all delivery work (food and parcels) and also includes social so you don’t need normal insurance on top - and normally works out a lot cheaper than pay as you go insurance if you do anything more than part time. Depends how many hours you’re gonna work but I’d say go monthly if you’re planning on doing 30+ hours a week!

    How about tax
    Have you deducted that?

    • @autohustles
      @autohustles  7 місяців тому

      No, because tax isn’t an expense. You pay tax on your profits once per year. When you discuss wages and salaries, it’s always before tax. Otherwise it’s impossible to compare. Everyone’s tax situation is completely unique. If someone says their hourly wage is £13 an hour, that’s before tax. They could pay 0% tax, or they could be on 45% tax. It is completely irrelevant to calculating your wage.

    • @gs2365
      @gs2365 7 місяців тому

      @autohustles thanks for this clarification and very well explained. Thanks, and you are 100% right there.
      One question: When it comes to tax, regardless of your personal status, you should be able to deduct all the expenses for amazon Flex, right? For example, fuel, insurance, milage, cost of the car hire (if you are hiring, for example)
      Can you please let me know your comments
      Many thanks and excellent reply, by the way.
