(No shame! It got you where you are today!) My daughter is giving acting a go, but if it doesn't work out, she has great visual art skills. Maybe she would enjoy doing things like storyboarding? Costuming?

Hey Makayla 😁! I just want you to know that I completely understand about the fire alarms. I dealt with that during my undergraduate years😭. All you want to do is relax or go to sleep and here comes this loud beeping noise 😑. It was a mixture of drills, somebody burning something in the kitchen, and just the fire alarm being ridiculous 😂😐. But on another note, hope you have an amazing sophomore year! And remember: You. The fire alarms stuff I can relate to as a literal stormy monsoon rolled through my area the last full week of Summer which caused massive power outages and ours got sacked for a minute or 2 before coming back on which is what set off our smoke detectors and we as in myself, my mom and grandparents spent a long ass while trying to get them to STFU.
We all felt like king of the world when it got quiet again and it’s why I called off work for 2 days along with the fact I refuse (like Jeff Gordon) to go to work in storms as I don’t like storms period. Hopefully you don’t have to endure that again after doing that shit 3 times. Good luck this season Makayla!

Such a good video! And the same thing happened to me during move-in days. The fire alarm went off, and it was super loud. Turns out, one of the girls let a boy into their room, and he sprayed deodorant to trigger the fire alarm, thinking it would be funny. The fire dept came, and everything. What a great start to the year. 🫠💔

🤣 This takes me back to my Uni/College years! Same experiences with the fire alarm. It got annoying at some point, after you realise that non of them were real fires!
Omg this reminds me of my freshman year of college. One time it went off at like 5 in the morning in the middle of winter….it was NOT a fun time lol
The fire alarms are crazy this past year the fire alarms went off so much (just graduated high school) so my first thought was people smokin in the bathrooms cause thats always what happened where I went to school

I can't imagine going through a fire alarm first thing in the morning. And, to have it happen three times. I understand it's for safety purposes, but it would be so annoying as people just want to get through their day. Why did the alarm go off so many times? What's happening there that they feel the need to have so many practice drills?
Makayla, I hate fire drills especially when I was in dialysis, and they never would unhook me from the dialysis machine

Hi Makayla, out-of-pocket question if you don’t mind me asking. What happens if like you are just doing your regular day-to-day things and you’re caught in the shower while a fire drill or a fire alarm goes off., because I’ve heard pretty horrific stories of what people have done in the midst of fire alarm

back in my sophomore year, one of the the on campus apartment buildings were consistently having fire alarms go off and it finally got to a point where the fire department said they were going to start issuing a false alarm fee to the school. we hardly heard fire alarms from over there after that 😂. but those alarms were so sensitive! any hint of smoke and they would go off. but the school probably had them that way because one year someone tried to dry their underwear in the microwave 😒...
