Great video. You explain things very well. Wish I saw this video before I setup my Fidelity Go account. Hopefully they added tax lost harvesting by now.
And what about the cash drag that Schwab had a class action suit filed against them and lost because they didn't explain Intelligent Portfolios' high allocation in cash is NOT cost effective and certainly NOT free? Care to take a look at the returns of Schwab's robo-advisor compared to Fidelity or Vanguard?
I met with a fidelity guy, he is offering a fully managed portfolio that’s like over 1% fees. Then I see the 0.35% for Go (the robo). I have over 100k. I had a terrible 2022 and 2023 but that’s because I manually picked everything (badly). Do You think I should do “Go” or try the expensive managed plan? I fully absolve you of any responsibility as it would only be your educational advice. Thx….
I just started investing. I have a fidelity Go account myself. I am a little nervous about it though. I plan to review it after a year and see if I like my progress. Any advice for someone just starting out?
Hi Terrence! If it were me and I was nervous or hesitant about a certain investment, I’d add a smaller allocation to it just to see how it performed. If/when I’m comfortable I’d add more. 👍👍
Hi Randy! If I had to choose for myself I would choose Betterment between the two. Mostly due to better features / technology for Betterment. Hope you get started investing… the younger you start the better!
Good question, Jerome! The process used by Fielity Go should minimize any short term gains that may be incurred from rebalancing (if you have a taxable account). But I don't know for sure. That's just a theory. Fidelity Go may have less tax minimization than something like Betterment or Wealthfront.
Seems like a pretty basic option that may work for some people. Thanks for a great overview of Fidelity Go! Keep up that great content 👍
Thanks Daniel! Appreciate it man and hoping the UA-cam algorithm blesses you 🤞😀
Finance is so complicated to me, but you make it sound simple. Thanks!

Great video. The pricing breakdown was the cherry on top.
Glad you liked it, withonestone! 😁

Does it have short term capital gains distribution?
