Okay but hear me out:
A ‘Real Estate’ expansion pack: a ‘Broker’ career is added and buying homes will be much more realistic. You can buy a fixer upper, renovate it and sell it for more. And don’t get me started on build mode because we would get all these great new features like paint ceilings, much bigger windows, much more counters, cornercouches and all that we don’t have enough of!! Wouldn’t that be a dreaaaam pack for all of us builders out there🥺

I also hope that we can have things like special furniture store where we can go see furniture and then place an order, but when checking out you can select different colors (which are swatches in build mode) and it might be delivered in one or two sims days by the mail man!
I like keeping a garage and using it as a skill building room where I can put all the objects that dont look right with the rest of the interior like the cupcake machine fabricator, things like that.

I usually build my floorplans exactly to scale and this is my method:
1.) Divide lengths by two (18x12 becomes 9 tiles x 6 tiles.
2.) Round down any odd number to the next even number. (13x12 becomes 12x12 which becomes 6x6)
3.) Round down any even and partial feet to the even number. (8'7x10'4 becomes 8x10 which becomes 4x5)
4.) Any odd numbers which partial feet get rounded up to the next even number. (13'5x17'4 becomes 14x18 which becomes 7x9)
I hope this was helpful for anyone reading! This method helps my scale become flawless and everything fits perfectly!

I mean as I was reading it I remembered how much I hate maths and can rarely find floorplans with dimensions like that but I'm screenshotting this for those times I'm frustrated with how things don't look right!
Lol! This seems like a cooler method than me figuring out if rl furniture would fit on a 1 tile or 2 tile. Though I think it still comes out looking fabulous this way too!

When you were talking about the concrete, yea don’t get concrete floors my family stayed in a house a few years back with concrete floors and it was not practical at all. They get dirts so fast and you have to clean them very often or you’ll see dust. Also they get EXTREMELY cold in the winter and we were living in a fairly warm area at the time. They also aren’t good with dogs as it’s bad for their paws and children also as they can get hurt easily.

Fell on some and my knee bleed like crazy and tore my jeans
You could've put bicycles in the garage instead. That way the garage is still there and being used.

My parents are currently building a house with concrete floors in some of the main areas, so I'll let you know if my heels start to hurt too 😂

Concrete and tiles are pretty common in my country, and we are all alright 😂
I work in a factory with solid concrete floors. I have to wear steel caps, and I walk between 7 and 8 miles everyday.
Standing still on one spot for an hour on concrete is 10x more painful than walking the miles. Most people don’t stand still on concrete for very long, so don’t know the pain it causes.

@@andi But i guess Bowser's dreamhouse would be veeery different. Just speaking for me and my cats: If I built my dream house, i would definitely include a lot of stuff and nice places for my cats but if I made THEIR dream house it would probably be almost unusable for me. Food bowls everywhere, the furniture would be pretty much exclusively cat furniture and couches all over the place, windows almost everywhere (we don't care about your privacy, human). Of course I'd get a bathroom and kitchen, but only so that I stay alive and well to serve them. 😂
I'm sure it would be similar for Bowser and Deli!
I have a whole pinterest collection of interesting floorplans that I want to recreate in The Sims. However, Im just way too ambitious and realky cant build verywell lol! Deli, you did an amazing job, well done!

I love watching all these sims builders who don’t have kids creating kids room 🤣
My thought was more: all these colors my daughter wouldn't be ablw to sleep 😅
I had a big bookcase in my childhood room, just wasn't a silly kid who climbed it lol. Plus all furniture in Australia has to come with bolts that go into the wall so it doesn't fall over because that did happen to a child before. So technically its safe :))
Sadly children in the sims have almost nothing to do...
I know!! My daughter would be LOVING all that mud on the carpets & ripped up books haha! 😭😭😨
I think you're the only one I watch that can pull of higher walls and diagonal walls. I love this
i love how much personality you put into all of your rooms! having sims in mind for each house really makes it feel more alive and playable.

hey deli, about what you said about concrete flooring: my cousins have it and it is great because (I do rollerblading) and my cousin and I can rollerblade in her house everywhere!! however, it shows every dirt spot.
Also, they have lots of animals, so it gets lots of muddy paws on it. (and it shows)
i was like “wait, where is the dining table?” but later you remembered and placed it haha

Aw I used to build houses inspired by floor plans too! I remember back when I played the Sims 2 I used one that was on one of my mom's home decor/design magazines, and it was one of my most favourite and memorable houses I built!
Anyway, I loved this house, I'm always amazed at your builds!

I’ve noticed for a couple of videos (I think maybe the other time I heard this was in your house build for your rags to riches LP but I honestly don’t remember) that you mention the curtains Harry made, but I’m pretty sure that the cc curtains are from the BAFROOM pack, not the KICHEN pack! Just an fyi in case anyone was confused or was looking for them! Much love xx

Polly Pocket was EVERYTHING!!!! Love your videos, Deli! I always enjoy watching you try and remember what items are from what packs. I think you should have James put together like 50 items from different packs, and you can see how many you can correctly identify. You can do the same for James! It'll be a good challenge to see "Who knows Sims 4 build and buy the best?"

I love floor plans too, I like to build but I have a hard time so the floor plans really help me to build and have it not look horrible. I still have trouble with roofs but watching videos of people like you and Lilsimsie helps me learn more about building. I love your videos and you brighten my day in these crazy times. Thanks

When I was younger I always used to watch these sims 4 ‘stories’ if that makes sense and they always had a house like this haha but it was often extremely full of cc (maybe a little too much lol)
Hey deli! I’m pretty sure that faux concrete flooring is a thing. I believe it’s a lot less hard because it’s not actually made out of concrete

In terms of concrete floors: my family is so keen for polished concrete flooring as the beautiful wood floors we had have been destroyed by our four golden retrievers! Every scratch is so visible and really easy to make, can’t wait to stick wood on the roof and sturdy concrete on the floor in the next house!

My Aunt and Uncle remodeled a house they got a few years ago. They tore put the carpet on the lower floor and just did some upkeep on the concrete. Its actually really practical for them because the house is on the water so having the concrete there is easier then trying the get sand/dirt/ mud out of the carpet that was there previously.

It’s such a beautiful house!!
Concrete is great for hot environments, because it stays cool! Especially in Palm Springs where it is 115f six months of the year! Also saves money on cooling costs!
