It likely took the inspiration for the double toilet from actual floor plans of real houses that have toilets and stand-alone bidets. Bidets look very similar to toilets from an aerial view.
There's two different explanations for the bright green plants in EVERY single Sims AI: the first is that it's genuinely putting houseplants in, the second is that the AI has been trained on a ton of Sims photos with the Sims Plumbobs in it, and thinks there NEEDS to be bright green vaguely triangular blotches everywhere, and we just take them as plants.
When I was in college they had to make a bathroom disability act compliant so instead of redoing the whole bathroom- fittings and all- they just took out the wall between two larger stalls, welded the one door shut and called it good. It did indeed have two toilets and it makes me cackle to this day. We called it the friendship potty because you could literally sit and hold hands 😂😂 Seeing this floor plan threw me VIOLENTLY back to those good old days 😂😂
In my elementary school there was a stall like this! I completely forgot about it until your comment. I absolutely went there with my friends when we were like 7 but we couldnt hold hands because we couldn't reach that far 😂
@@magicalfluffybunny as weird as as it is... in ancient Rome there was Public latrine where people defecate together in one room, no stalls, no walls between them.

New challenge: creating a house purely based on the awful Zillow finds. Each room is a different house from Zillow. (Ex: picture one has a Zillow fund with an absolutely awful bathroom. While Zillow find two features the worse dining room imaginable) and you have to create it all in build mode !
I remember finding a mobile home on a beautiful acre of land... the living room ceiling was completely caved in and gaping open 😳 they were selling as-is too 😂🤦🏼♀️👀
“You have to go through the double toilet room to get to the sink” …but you can guarantee that the sims will still wash their dishes at that particular sink!
It totally gives me first Sims build vibes too! The exterior reminds me when I first started building in the Sims 2 when I was a kid. Back when every house was just an ugly box.
My first house always looked like a colorful Clue/Cluedo board with enough rooms to live satisfyingly, but just a box with roof... But no hallways... Or any clutter...
Don’t blame our childhood selves, blame the Sims 2’s inability to route! I learned very quickly not to bother with stairs, and open floor plan is king. My Sims would get stuck CONSTANTLY.
James looking directly at the wardrobe not fitting in and somehow still not noticing and changing it for 7 minutes was giving me so much anxiety, I was about to self-combust
I think it says so much that every big Simmer on YT is doing just about anything but a HSY let’s play for more than a few episodes…I’m enjoying the Reginald LP a lot, keep on keepin’ on…but, last year you had a new Cottage Living episode nearly every day for months…and it’s an awesome pack! HSY…meh? Plus breaking the game…
Finally after several hours, I've uploaded my renovation of this to the gallery. I was on console and I've never participated in a challenge that you upload to the gallery, so it's probably crap... But I'm proud lol. Tried something new today.
I don't think you get enough credit for how crisp and smooth your game play and set up is. I enjoy watching your videos strictly because it feels so organized and high quality. (I know nothing about computers but you get the point 🙂 )
Especially since he started significantly editing his videos- I think that was Rags to Witches? No more 10 minutes of James rearranging planters every third episode- the quality has massively improved and he's very good at what he does!
All I can picture is SimGuruRomeo's innocent yet slightly evil grin waiting for you to forget to put in a toilet in one of these builds. lol You know, like how you almost always forget to put in a bin lol
you once did a series bulding a house in sims 1 and replicating it up until sims 4. you should do that again, in reverse from sims 4 to 1, also using curved walls, platforms and everything, to make it as interesting and challenging as possible for the older games
Yay another build! James I would love for you to redo a house you’ve done in the early years of sims 4- before we had terraforming, ponds, pools and all of the Sims 4 packs.
I believe that's a bidet and not another toilet 😭😭😭 I'm so happy Felixandre released a bathroom set that has a bidet. I feel fully represented in the sims now as an Italian 🇮🇹
9:45 - when we were looking for our last house, I think this is what our realtor pictured when I said “must have 2 toilets” instead of “must have 2 bathrooms” because they cracked up laughing. Honestly at that point I wouldn’t have cared, our one bathroom house wasn’t working, put up a curtain between them, we just needed a second place to go. ((Around here, a thing that happens in older one bath houses is that people will partition off a small section of the basement (hopefully with walls sometimes with curtains) near the laundry, install just a toilet, and use the laundry utility sink to wash hands, which is what I was thinking, but side by side toilets is funnier)).
I really love these AI build videos 🤩 They're just really fun to watch, and I'd definitely be curious to see what you can do with a wonky floor plan + your own decoration ideas.
There is a door or arch for the bedroom. it is next to the bed behind the shower, you can see the carpet through it. Could have put a door or arch on the other side of the stairs leading to that side of the house.
Yes, so ready for this build challenge! What a fun idea. I also love how that second AI image looks like every standard apartment 3D model out there on Zillow. 😆
This house looks like it was built in the 60s and renovated no less than 3 times. Also the couple who chose to have double toilets… it’s a CHOICE for sure 🚽
I haven't watched the video yet but in some countries they have a separate toilet and bidet (they look very similar) instead just have an attachment. But the idea of two toilets is hilarious (and gives me elementary school flashbacks of having a row of toilets and no dividers between them)
Me, literally saying over and over the first 10 minutes, ("James, the closet is sticking out into the living room!") 🤦♀️🤣 I don't know why I thought you could hear me 🤷♀️🤦♀️
The kids bedroom you made was clearly meant to be a bathroom 😂 where you put a bad should’ve been a bath, opposite that in the corner a toilet, and the desk was counters for a sink
james idk if you noticed but where you put the tables in the big room upstirs is actually a platform on the sides you could see a small shadow showing it was raised
Hey James, why don't you try your own challenge? You've built the house and now renovate it before you even look at other people's suggestions, see what you can come up with?

I was playing around with the AI you used and it seems like if you increase the height, width, and/or number of steps in creating the image you can get more detailed floorplans. For the challenge can we move stairs as well or no?
The fact the AI nailed one of the most characteristic Sims 4 detail, the spoiled plate of food on the floor, made me lol
I know, right? I love how it kinda nailed the game's look...and a bit of the game's stupidity. :P
It likely took the inspiration for the double toilet from actual floor plans of real houses that have toilets and stand-alone bidets. Bidets look very similar to toilets from an aerial view.

I have seen a single room bathroom with two toilets. Probably for the same reason as you guys. So strange.

The AI putting a plate of food on the floor the first time was SO The Sims! It really nailed the vibe of the game that first go-round.

I don't know how your floorplans turned out to be so usable. It put a toilet in front of double stoves for me and curtains between two rooms.

The Sims Team are AI confirmed.
It's actually fascinating that it was able to generate a wardrobe object within the wall. It's a little thing but it really stood out to me
How the sims team builds starter homes 😂😭
Ahahaha maybe they did use AI after all

I love the look of the fake indoor plants more than some of the actual indoor plants we have. 😂

The outside feels like if the realm of magic builders and whoever built Judith Wards house did a collab
And they put two toilets to compensate for the get famous fiasco 😂

It's like the architect misunderstood when they said twin sinks somehow xD

😅❤
What if you told the AI to make a "sims 4 home made by James Turner" to see what the AI "thinks" of your work?
The best build I've ever seen! Really speaks to the part of me that remembers building in ts2 as a 8 yo kid

English is not my main language so please forgive me I just want to get it right. Are we allowed to change stairs?
Yes
Maybe? It's not a wall and he added it in himself, so I guess you could move it as long as you don't change the walls?
I’m pretty sure you can, just leave the walls as they are :)
Yeah, you can. James said that only walls need to stay untouched :)
He didn’t say anything about it so I guess it’s up to you 🥰 (as long as you don’t change the walls)
This house needs that guy from that HGTV show curb appeal, I loved the two toilets, and the pile of dishes on the floor was kind of sims 4🤣🤣🤣🤣

I thought it would be about the horrendous house that was trending on twitter
Lil Simsie did it!
Edit because I got to the end of the video: Yes! That's exactly what I'd love to see, using the wall layouts but ignoring furnishings. Sounds awesome!
I've seen sims builds on the gallery with two toilets... people say that one of them is supposed to be a bidet. It's usually in "renovate me" builds.
The vanity room, to me, looks like the AI tried to make an indoor zen garden with a wooden shrine. Actually not the worst!
Having a James Turner marathon cause I'm ill in bed and this one pops up! Yesss
You heard it here: they're not roof dormers they're "pokey outey bois" and I expect architecture textbooks to start updating with this new term. 😆
The double toilets… it’s so you can hold hands while tandem pooping. 😂
A double toilet bathroom sounds like a nightmare I've had before 🤔
Hmmm
I love that this was his idea but by the end he sounds like he's giving up on life. Poor guy.
Here hoping that this is not the new house for Reginald 😂
Your sims are still going to go upstairs to that hidden sink to wash all their dishes
this looks like any house in the sims 2 tbh, I love it
Honestly, this is a Sims starter home 1-2-3.

I bet you could program a pretty sick Sims specific AI
This looks like an EA build but in The Sims 3 😭 Absolutely horrendous, AI was a mistake, I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try to fix it.
Can you imagine seeing this upload on the gallery before seeing the UA-cam video
The thing in the lounge I thought looked like a stereo

build idea: creating a house with the most annoying floorplan possible with like sinks on the opposite side of the house than the toilets, etc.

The fact that he missed the laundry room in the 2nd floorplan is killing me. Just make it a whole bedroom!
